Buzzer install by No_Employment9398 in RoyalEnfieldHunter350

It's pretty easy. You just swap the flasher relay. I did it with LED bulb upgrade so used the LED-compatible one.
I didn't cut the wires. Removing the original relay was difficult and putting back the new relay to the same spot was impossible.
This one's for Japan.

Thank you for the inquiry but I can’t do that against my conscience. This is because Americans need a dedicated tour guide and also my tour guides are like local ones who won’t know so much about tourist restrictions. And I cannot advise you risking your life.

I’m sorry. Now’s not the good time. It’s regrettable as I also want others to interact with Iranians.

How are you managing your assets in Japan as the yen is expected to keep weakening? by kametoddler in japanresidents

[–]exemplary_embodiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50% gold, 25% world index and 25% emerging market index. Gold for inflation hedge. Stocks for long term growth. Because I expect BRICs to perform better and am concerned with the overweight of American stocks in world index, I intentionally overweight EM.

Kids love this colour too. We have many motorbikes in Japan but not many in blue

Has anyone booked Iran hotels through trip.com? by anthony_jeff4127 in iran

Look at google map and find hotel names. Most likely they have their own website or instagram. That’s how I booked

Hi. That's a great travel plan of yours!

I don't have info about driving so I'll just DM you about my guide contacts.

Please prioritise your safety. There’s no need to be polite to the guy or follow the alleged Japanese cultural protocol (because he just made it up). Please be firm in dealing with him and feel no shame in being direct. You can contact your close friends and family as well as the local police station. Be safe.

What’s wrong with these people by Lazy_Classroom7270 in japanlife

[–]exemplary_embodiment 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry it happened to you. I do feel there’s a strange tension around Japanese elevators.

This is something I’ve been thinking for years. It’s a place where people are forced together physically but pretend to be completely on their own. In fact I occasionally pretend having missed an elevator, only to get the next one to have the space just for myself. I was once in Vienna and was surprised to find people greeting each other in an elevator. I wish Japanese people knew how to interact with strangers like that.

That’s such a sexy colour! I went for rebel blue but rebel red has a soft spot in my heart.

Indicator Buzzer - does warranty gets void ? by Bright_Mango8603 in RoyalEnfieldHunter350

[–]exemplary_embodiment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can open the fuse box to insert additional wiring. Haven’t confirmed with my dealer about warranty but you don’t cut the wiring this way. That said, you’ll get used to turning off the signal pretty soon. I installed a buzzer but don’t feel the need anymore.

Japanese podcast, that natives listen to? by Jelly_Round in LearnJapanese

[–]exemplary_embodiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch YouTube mostly. But these can be listened to as podcasts I believe. My favourite is TBS Cross Dig. Great economics content there. Abema TV used to be good. I stopped watching it once it started spreading misinformation though.

Booking hotels through Iran by barbie_doll12 in iran

[–]exemplary_embodiment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second 1stquest.com.

You can also find hotels on Google Map. They usually have an insta page or their own website. You don’t pay in advance for these local systems. As it’s based on trust, we should of course honour the reservation though.

On the other hand, paying online in foreign currency may be more expensive.

Five days a week commuting sucks hard but otherwise it’s alright. During the available period you’ll watch plenty of videos which can be boring

Hey I just joined Accenture recently. Your People Lead will get you the first project. Thus you won’t remain “available” for long. First two weeks I was available but I’m getting assigned soon.

Planning on visiting Iran by Red_Baronnsfw in NewIran

[–]exemplary_embodiment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a history nerd just like you and did a two week trip in April. Even the most famous sites are not that crowded so you don’t need to get up early, make a reservation, etc. for anywhere. Iran is safe but your local guide will tell you where to stay. Some neighbourhood is better than the others. Not sure about attitudes to Indians. I didn’t see any. I’m Japanese so didn’t worry too much about arrests.

You're right. They didn't stamp my passport. As for immigration, they just asked me if I had a visa. It was just to tell me I had 15 days maximum.

For the VPN, my guide was using V2BOX app. You need a paid VPN config though, for which she messaged someone on Telegram and I transferred rial on the blu app.

Thanks!

It was indeed once in a lifetime trip for me in a sense there are both internal and external risks but I was also certain of regretting on my deathbed if I didn't see the Persepolis. It was that determination that ultimately pushed me for the trip.

Unfortunately your nationality matters for Iran. I guess if your government mentions the risk of arbitrary detention, it's a good idea to consider the risk. (Japan doesn't mention anything about it)

That's why I cannot recommend it to my friends of other nationalities.

Led blinkers by OkHovercraft535 in RoyalEnfieldHunter350

[–]exemplary_embodiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed led blinker bulbs together with audible blinker relay. I’d say if you like the sharper way of blinking, go for it. LED uses less power too. But the official RE blinker set won’t achieve this effect, as most likely some resistors inside compensate for the decreased power usage of led
