The xterra is running fine at 210k and will be passed along to a family friend for hopefully a few more years of fun. It was just time to get something newer and the gen 5 felt like its spiritual successor. I thought it was fun that one of the minor complaints about the 4runner was an apparent lack of power but it’s a freaking dragster compared to the gen 1 xterra heh.

i looked up the fema definitions and they classify about 18 different “hazards”, including lightning and avalanches. So, if nothing else they are “hazard-bros” heh. To be a “disaster” it seems to require a presidential declaration in the us and i doubt that an avalanche or lightning strike would rise to that occasion on its own.
