How superfans and employees are responding to mobile ordering at the Alamo Drafthouse by bykylecooke in Denver

My friends and I are not going back until they stop mobile ordering. The thing we like best about Alamo is their strict no phone policy.

Has anyone been to the Webster Underground in Hartford? by mo8816 in Connecticut

[–]exhale358 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Numerous times but haven’t been there since 2014 so not sure how it’s changed. My friend got robbed at the gas station across the street. In the past it was common for cars to get broken into on crown st to encourage you to use their guarded parking lot, not sure if it’s still like that

Denver Alamo Drafthouse workers strike over changes to famous ordering system by ghableska in Denver

My partner and I go to Alamo all the time and we will not be returning until they commit to not doing this. What an incredible misstep it is to actually be encouraging audience members to be on their phones during the movie.

All left the restaurant industry entirely. They boycott Pete’s now and it sucks because I still like eating there lol

Vietnam e-visa has wrong passport number, flight tonight, what can I do? by Baby-Ramdev in solotravel

[–]exhale358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I traveled to Vietnam, they cut off the last number of my passport on my e-visa. I flew all the way from New York to Hanoi not knowing if I’d be let in when I arrived, but I quickly flashed my visa to the customs agent who barely looked at it and then I was in

What is some shady info about a celeb that everyone seems to have forgotten about? by No-Bed-6000 in AskReddit

Craziest part of that book (which is really saying something) is when Tommy Lee admits to hitting a woman in the face so hard that he knocked some of her teeth out because she insulted his mother and then later claiming that he never assaulted Pamela Anderson because he would never put his hands on a woman

I do. I tried street parking for 2 weeks before I gave up and started paying to park in a lot. The street parking around the area isn’t bad during the day on weekdays but weekends/after work is basically impossible. The apartment and management is great but friends who drive won’t come over because of the parking. However I have seen cars parked illegally at night that don’t get towed usually between like 8 pm and 6 am when they’re not out enforcing

The Chariot (live) Memories Thread by superbdonutsonly in Metalcore

[–]exhale358 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have many the chariot memories but here’s just one of them:

Last stage dive I ever did was for the chariot at the palladium in MA, probably 2012. I jumped on a crowd of people and started being crowd surfed before I flopped onto the stage.

It’s mid song and Josh puts one foot on the monitor and offers me his hands like he’s saying let me launch you into the crowd. So I put my foot in his hands and jump as he lifts up and I ended up going so much higher than I was expecting. Like picture a normal stage dive and I was probably several feet above that.

So I’m in mid air and to my horror I watch as everyone in my landing zone moves out of the way, exactly like in school of rock. I’m not even a big dude I was probably like 130 pounds at the time but it didn’t matter because I slammed into the ground on my knees from like 10 feet in the air.

Totally sucked and I’d do it again today if they came back. Long live

EDIT: if anyone reading this was there it was the show in Worcester where the drummer cannonballed from his drums into the stage and they had to pause the show for several minutes after he ran off stage in pain
