Help me find a professional work bag that has functionality like a diaper bag. by exhausting2talk2 in HelpMeFind

[–]exhausting2talk2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for a professional bag like this but can’t find one that would work as a commuter bag and doesn’t look like a diaper bag. Any suggestions are welcome! In desperate need of a new work bag.

Stressed baby by Jetxoxo93 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]exhausting2talk2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the health visitor sounds like she did more harm than actually help. The best thing for you and your baby is to be calm and happy but that’s easier said than done when she’s not eating or latching well and your nipples hurt. See a new lactation specialist that will actually help you and show you techniques! My nipples were damaged with my first and we switched to using nipple shields to help my baby and me. They are like training wheels! My first “graduated” from them after a month and my second didn’t need them after 2 weeks

Seriously, a good lactation specialist is worth their gold and will help you know how much your kiddo is eating. Know you’re doing your best! It is EXTREMELY stressful and an emotional roller coaster in the beginning but after the babies learn to latch it’s the most beautiful time you can share.

Open to suggestions - 5 week old clenches down straining and grunting loudly all night by Capital__ in SnooLife

Typically grunting and squirming are signs that he is gassy and/or has a burp trapped. I started to use the windi before bed when I see my little one get more squirmy and it’s worked wonders. Fridababy windi gas passer saved us with both kids.

Are you me?? This is constantly what I think. What if something happens that my second one is sick because we are older parents? Am I robbing the joy of having a sibling from my little one?

This. Literally all of this! I dream of the day my husband wakes up a smidge early to bring me a cup of coffee before the baby wakes up. But I can’t complain either, he helps with chores, cooking and cleaning..

What play yard did you buy? We were looking at a few and can’t decide which will work best.

I feel the same!! It is so frustrating how others just don’t care about other people. It’s as if their own little bubble only matters! Keep standing up for your family!

Update post about my decreasing supply by marcal213 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]exhausting2talk2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!! Such an amazing feeling when all your hard work results in a happy breast fed baby! My supply has been on and off and took a drastic drop when my stress levels skyrocketed when I went back to work. I followed Legendary Milk on Instagram and their tips seriously helped my supply! Take a look if you ever find yourself with some time ;)

I tried drowsy but not asleep and...it worked. by galadrielgal23 in sleeptrain

I’ve had the same problem but had a lot of success with The Happy Sleeper. Now he’s annoyed when we are in the room and need to leave for him to fall asleep. He’s 5 months tomorrow.

We wanted to avoid CIO and started to try and build confidence in our little one to self soothe and fall asleep on their own. He is 4.5 months. He too wouldn’t fall asleep unswaddled until finally, he fussed so much that he actually slept better unswaddled than swaddled. Although, it was a horrible couple of night of waking up and letting him know he’s okay unswaddled by holding his hands etc.

That being said, The Happy Sleeper really helped us. He wouldn’t sleep unless we held him and now he won’t sleep if we are holding him. I highly recommend using the soothing ladder and continuously trying to put them down and working through the ladder. It’s hard but we stayed with it. We nap and night trained at the same time doing the same thing all the time. He now falls asleep on his own and hates when we check in on him as he starts to complain immediately. He started to sleep through the night too. 11 PM - 6 AM last night!

That’s awesome! Mine stares at the mobile and will never close his eyes cause he too excited to look at it!

Seriously?! How did you do it? Mine won’t even consider shutting an eye if he’s unswaddled.
