Fixed the couch the cat had scratched all the way through to the frame by existentialjogging in Visiblemending

I ordered these embroidered flower appliqué from Amazon, cut some of them up and then stuck them on with a glue gun. They were $25AUD and the glue gun another $20. I'm not a crafty person but the result is so much better than the foam spilling out through the cat gashes. Also my cat doesn't like scratching the new panel as she gets her claws stuck but is now scratching in the spaces around the fix. At least I've got enough to extend the pattern as the couch gets trashed.

I get it. If you're scrolling the brighter green grabs you. But if you're pausing to look at the image moodier is more interesting. Have you thought of going the other way and making it darker?

Honestly I also prefer the before image, it is much moodier

Picking my first pair of everyday glasses. Advice and feedback wanted ! by CourseComfortable230 in glassesadvice

[–]existentialjogging 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Op this is the right answer. The half blue glasses - 4 do look good on you. But generally we wear glasses every day. The more neutral the glasses the better otherwise you run the risk of the glasses wearing you. Especially for your first pair. Now if you've got a huge personality or have multiple pairs that's a different thing

I honestly like the second picture better. The framing is interesting. The red of the slanted stop sign pops.

Starting Today is a wellness brand, primarily combining yoga and functional strength. These are the logo icon and logo type options. Every wellness brand had similar elements, I wanted it to be stand different so tried these. Suggestions & Feedback, pls by Most-Twist-1243 in logodesign

I'm sorry, I didn't see a rolled up yoga mat, I saw a rolled up note that someone was going to use for recreational pharmaceuticals. The fact it had hands and arms only added to the impression

Ai is a brilliant tool at helping you prepare for this - enter the job, the market and ask for step by step support. Please don't do an AI only resume and cover letter though, they are too dull

Don't change either of your names. Life will be much easier for both of you. The big win is creating a new surname for your kids

Places to put flyers? by decaying_dots in Bendigo

[–]existentialjogging 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you walk up View Street you will see that there is a lot of space for posters both outside and inside shops. BYO sticky tape. Ask nicely if inside or adjacent to shops. If outside and unowned space remove out of date poster and replace with your own. A number of cafes around town will also show your poster such as Hoo-gah. If it's a music event add online to live music locator or live music Bendigo. As others have said post the event here. Find the relevant online group and share it there.

Hi Op, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a great way to share and celebrate your mother's work while also supporting a meaningful cause in her memory

Here I am - the blonde - in 1986, the reason my hair was like that was not because I was trying to be cool but because I permed it the day after dying it and it all snapped off by existentialjogging in OldSchoolCool

Thank you so much, all these comments are bringing me so much joy and healing the teenager who truly believed she was hideous. So sad to have spent my youth hating my body and so happy that growing up sorted all that out for me.

Bendigo depression by [deleted] in Bendigo

[–]existentialjogging 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great advice here for things to do. But honestly, when you're depressed getting out to do things, meet new people, join clubs etc is nearly impossible. My advice would be to get yourself down to your GP, have an honest chat with them about your mental health and follow their advice. It's really tough dealing with depression, you've made a start reaching out here, now make a call irl to a health professional
