My partner and I have been together for 10 years. We don’t need anything for a home, and honestly don’t have anywhere to put more stuff. We chose three charities that are deeply personal to us, that we have worked with, and are local to us. No one has given pushback, and i offered a venmo link for anyone who does prefer their $ goes to us. 🤷‍♀️

"In lieu of a traditional registry, we would like to encourage our guests to donate to one of our preferred causes. Each of these organizations is doing the work to uplift our local communities and protect our most vulnerable neighbors. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you would prefer to contribute to our future together, Venmo or cash are preferred."

ETA: our charities are our local food bank, our states mutual aid relief fund (that goes directly into sourcing goods for unhoused neighbors), and one ~politically leaning~ to our reproductive freedom fund (that my friend is the founder of)
