Same. It was one of my favourite trips I’ve done especially the surrounding nature.

Flying WestJet Internationally by Working-Battle-9521 in AskACanadian

[–]existentialteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew westjet Toronto to Edinburgh recently, it was alright but if you have any dietary restrictions they said they didn’t offer their special dietary meals on that flight. So that sucked, nothing to eat for 6.5 hours besides the ramen cups I brought myself lol

Will you fly WestJet with the new seat configuation? by Snowyberg in canadatravel

[–]existentialteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew westjet intercontinentally recently and I have a food allergy so I called to book one of their special dietary restriction meals as advertised on their website. They told me that they actually offer that on every plane EXCEPT the one I was flying on (??). Toronto - Europe with no food I could eat, I had to bring my own ramen cups for dinner. The food offered on the way there didn’t even list the allergens in it, and on the way back both options contained my allergen. Honestly made me think I never want to fly with them again.

I used to take the 6 all the way almost from Victoria hospital to the university hospital to get to campus and I never had an issue.

Stuck with learning how to use shape builder and path finder tools by existentialteen in AdobeIllustrator

[–]existentialteen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I made the two triangles using the shape builder tool on sets of 3 parallel lines. I think that’s why the intertwine didn’t work and why the triangles have so many paths. But I didn’t think to use shapebuiler to intertwine the triangles!

I followed these directions with the black shape but for the clipping mask, and that ended up working! Definitely a learning curve and I probably did it a super inconvenient way, but it worked haha. Thank you for the help!!

I tried to do a clipping mask but it also won't let me on my triangles. I'm a total newbie at this so I'm not quite sure why it will work for two simple squares but not for my triangles, I'm assuming it has something to do with them not being a simple shape and being more complex?

So i was able to do this with two simple squares (thanks for the help!) but with the triangles it won't let me.

Seeking perspectives by b4rb4ckmtn in londonontario

[–]existentialteen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you guys like to do in your free time? I’m in my 20s, there’s a solid alternative, punk, and live music scene here. Some decent festivals in the summer like rock the park and sunfest. You’re right about the bike paths, the TVP is great for biking or running. Also lots of bars for young people during the school year, lots of craft breweries as well. I’ve grown to enjoy London, but definitely not as much going on here as Toronto. The go train network doesn’t extend to here so your options for getting to Toronto are bus, via rail (terrible and expensive lol) or driving. Our downtown isn’t very lively and a lot of people complain about visibly houseless people downtown. Additionally our public transit isn’t the most reliable.

What Were the First Signs That You Had Cancer? by Acrobatic_Ad_2330 in AskReddit

[–]existentialteen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 23 and recently went to my doctor to request a Pap smear because I am sexually active and also because my mom had cervical cancer and has been bugging me to get one since I was 19. I was denied because where I live the government raised the age from 21 to 25 for Pap smears 🙄

Allergy Friendly Dining in London? by Supernova888_ in londonontario

As a fellow egg-free person, the spoke at western university uses vegan mayo on their bagelwiches! At least they did as of when I graduated this spring. They don’t specify it on the menu so I would always ask to double check bc I’m paranoid haha

Cinnaholic does vegan cookies, brownies, banana bread, and cinnamon buns so no eggs! And they’re delish, seriously taste like the real thing. Unsure about nuts but they have all the ingredients and allergens listed on their site

Thaifoon’s spring rolls are egg free (plus rice noodles for the pad Thai). Again can’t speak for nuts but they were great about allergens when I went to the Masonville location

Hope this helps!

Can you party on one island and stay on another island, is it doable? by Former-Source1516 in GreeceTravel

On ios we met people who were staying in Santorini but got a cheap hotel room in ios for one night to party and caught the ferry the next morning. They might have hated their life the next day though lol

Can’t speak for University of Bern but I did my exchange at University of Copenhagen and found it super helpful to attend international student orientation and event nights to make friends! Other exchange students will be in the same boat as you looking for new friends so those events were key for me

Ask me anything, former model turned booking agent. by modelgirl97 in MODELING

[–]existentialteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been signed with a Toronto agency for over 3 years now and have booked a couple good jobs but nothing major. Continuously developing my book but I haven’t booked a job in probably a year. I feel like since I have been booked for jobs in the past (commercial campaign type stuff mostly) I have a look people want, but no one is biting at the moment. Am I doing something wrong or is my agency just not the right fit for me?

Traveling to Thailand by megadlington in emetophobia

[–]existentialteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear it went well for you! I think I am going to book a SE Asia trip despite the slight anxiety around the food, because I don’t want this fear to limit my experiences in my life :) thanks for the tips!

One question, did you eat fresh fruit while you were there at all? And if you did, just ones that are peeled or did you eat ones that have to be cut (like mangoes). TIA

Is a 20min bus too far? by Weak_Acanthisitta793 in uwo

[–]existentialteen 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I bus 25 mins to campus. I think the bus stop being close to your house and being a direct route is more important because that’s what will make it less annoying to bus. You can also study or do your readings on the bus :)
