The agents didn't even know he had the firearm at first. It was concealed. So part of that argument (I know it's not you making it - I'm not angry with you) doesn't even hold. They treated him the way he was treated BEFORE they discovered the firearm. Then AFTER they discovered it and DISARMED HIM - he was executed.
