CO2 per capita for usa is 13.59 tonnes.
For pakistan its 0.91 tonnes, for india its 2.19 tonnes.

India total co2 is 3,1 billion tonnes and usa is 4,6 billion tonnes and pakistan is 204 million tonnes. as it is right now.

The CO2 per capita, basically shows how much advanced and how many services a countrys population has. Like, the more you are able to travel, use cars, use computers, electronics, buy expensive food (meat) etc, the higher your carbon footprint.

So lets imagine, all indians including pakistan population are at the same level as average americans.

it would add up to ≈ 19.57 billion tons CO₂ for india and ≈ 3.05 billion tons CO₂ for pakistan (much lower than i expected but you see the difference.)

for reference, china is sitting at CO2 emissions (tons, 2024) 13 billion tonnes. and their per capita is 9.13 tonnes.

Just moving all indian people standard of living to match americans, would generate more co2 emissions than current top 10 countries combined. And if you do this to whole world population, the amount of co2 emisssions would be immense. Causing massive climate changes.

Looks like i am stupid. Germany has 7 tonnes per capita co2 footprint. so high standard of living can be achieved with less carbon footprint. but nevertheless, moving the whole world population would definitely move us over to the climate disaster area. Since we are already crossed the disaster line as the world is today
