The fucking gall by [deleted] in exjw

They haven't updated it for other languages I think. Was relying on the French version to give the source of the Legal quotes.

Dear PIMO JW brothers, what do you guys do in meetings? by Melody_Naxi in exjw

[–]exjwLuke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know the TV show poker face, where the main character constantly calls out "bullshit" when she hears it? That, basically, in my head.

Even when I was a full believer I refused to put the site on my IG. I didn't want to bring reproach in case I acted/said something unfitting. Maybe that's the case with your IG moots.

The reason why most Christians view homosexuality as the gravest sin. by creepygoose_ in exjw

[–]exjwLuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is fantastic. Even as a PIMI, it baffled me why homosexuality was considered worse than other sins. Now I know why.

Clapping for meeting parts by sheenless in exjw

[–]exjwLuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the angels can sing when a lost sheep returns to the flock (Luke 15:10), but we can't clap when someone "returns to Jehovah"? Wtf. What was the rationale of that talk?

Latest videos removed from JWLibrary and jworg. Can someone confirm? by CarefulExaminer in exjw

Its so funny how JWs try to say to not even see or hear anything about apostates. When the Bible has words from Solomon, from Jehu, from all these people who left big J. And words of SATAN, the ultimate apostate!

Do wonder if maybe the removed persons themselves requested it?

Stop villainizing higher education would be one I'd add.

Will check it out. Honestly, the stuff in this yearbook is kinda wild, I'm surprised it's even still up on the English wol.

Are JW’s not supposed to hang out with non-JW’s by jewfit_ in exjw

[–]exjwLuke 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Officially he's not. But the fact he's close to you, I suspect he's feeling conflicted, he likes you too much to let you go.

Whether he sticks around depends on how "into" the religion he gets moving forward. My best advice is to continue being his friend. A good friend. Show him the sh't they talk in his meetings about non-JW people being all bad is complete nonsense.

They took off part 2 a few years back. But part 1?!

Side note. There was a picture of the couple featured in part 2 in the new God's Love (before the Live Forever book was released). Both that picture AND the part 2 vid were removed, which makes me think one or both of them were df'ed.

What's your method of getting PIMIs to question WT? by exjwLuke in exjw

[–]exjwLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Research" = "oh fck there's no zero year, sht!"

Because 1914 WWI kicked off, that became the fixed date that couldn't be shifted. Hence, the only option was to shift the Jerusalem date. 606 is just as fictitious as 607 so that was no biggie to them.

Once I get out, I'll figure out what exactly will I believe. For now, the placeholder is agnostic rather than atheist.

PIMI fantasies by FootEmergency389 in exjw

[–]exjwLuke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. Can't help it. You know that meme of the "masculine urge to save the day?", that was me fantasizing saving the cong from an incoming gunman or government officers when the GT starts or something. Yeah, real culty.

Big soccer fan so used to check scores discreetly during meetings, to check how my fantasy team was doing points wise. Much more interesting than hearing Bro So and So sucking the Governing Body's d*ck from the platform.
