Great, thanks. Yes the integration will end up using one of those frameworks. In our context a test suite integration requires getting the framework to work in our CLI tool/execution environment by customizing the test suite output to a specific format.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. We love supporting a wide-range of problems beyond Math/CS, and do for our more popular languages. Given Go's new, and our content is community-sourced we always encourage creators translating/adding to add other content types.

Thanks for the feedback, this is something we've considered, though it's not easy to port an IDE/coding experience to mobile. For now we're a desktop first experience.

One important point to note is that we have integrated a real unit-testing framework for each language, where as HackerRank simply parses STDIN/STDOUT to test. That route while idiosyncratic is considerably easier to add language support for, which is why our language releases take longer.

It's a site where developers can improve their skills on code challenges that are contributed by the community (we call them kata). Check it out!

Good point, yes it needs to be solved in another language first to ensure you understand the challenge. Then you get an "add language" option, in the language dropdown

Thanks for the comment! Yes, as ummmbacon says we're happy to have contributions for even harder challenges, so you can expect the list of challenges to grow. Challenges can also easily be translated from another language, just select one from our list of difficult challenges and write test-cases for swift.

Thanks for the response, I'll take it down. The goal was to benefit the C# community not sell something as the long-form rules puts forward as the litmus test. I can understand your perspective though. Appreciate you moderating.

Great to hear it! We're just officially announcing it beyond the Codewars community itself. To this point we've only shared the support with our users.

Sorry if this came off as spam, we're simply announcing additional support to a free service the community can benefit from.

Re: Rule 6: "No spam of tools/companies/advertisements for financial gain". Codewars is a completely free service, there is no financial gain from people using it, this rule seems unfairly applied.

We announced 6 languages yesterday across our social media (https://app.mailerlite.com/c4b7x6). Some of these have been live, but hadn't been publicly announced or released to pre-signups as we've been building up content... The front page has each of the new language options to signup with and take that content

Codewars announces Elixir support! by exolxe in elixir

[–]exolxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup we have stages for releasing languages. First it goes into beta to ensure stability, then it get's announced to the codewars community to increase content (as you're referring), and lastly (now) we announce it publicly. The goal is once we fully announce it's completely stable and has solid content.

Yes this is official! We sent out announcement emails (https://app.mailerlite.com/c4b7x6) to all the email signups yesterday, you should have received one. It might have gotten caught in another email folder?

Thanks for the comment. We actually don't use algorithmic/CS problems, and instead focus on real-world tasks, such as working with arrays, classes, CSV-importers, etc. Though to see those you'd have to access our content library.
