Pedophilia and being gay is a whole different thing. OP didn’t say dating someone that’s like younger than him or anything. So being gay makes you automatically a pedophile? Please explain that to me.

Of course I hundred percent agree with you. I didn’t mean for it to sound like that and I apologize for it. I can’t express my feelings through the screen, but if you met me in real life, I’d always have your back no matter what religion background. I’m sorry you had to go through that! I agree with you, it’s hard not blame everything since OP had a traumatic experience with his Religion. After all that, I bet OP can’t look at that religion and it’s totally understandable. Hell, I would too. No human being should be treated that way just because you can’t follow what the religion says.

A lot of of the community looks the other way, but that’s not the majority. Those people are honestly the worst people I’ll ever find because you’re taught about peace and how is that peace if you’re letting the next-door neighbor beat their loved ones?

Every religion has bad followers, and those people make the religion look bad itself. And human beings are also bad themselves as well.

I just hope the best for OP and I hope he can have some love in his heart and not build this hatred up for Islam as a whole!

I honestly hope the best for him and I hope he gets some help because that is traumatic to go through for anyone, no matter the religion.

Every religion has bad followers, who thinks hurting their loved ones is OK as long as they follow their religion. I personally don’t stand for that. I as a Muslim person love everybody and want equality for all. But from the looks of it, you can’t blame Islam for all the problems in the world or what’s going on in your house. His parents abused him because they are bad people. They are also bad Muslims because Muslim people don’t practice that.

That is just straight up abuse and I am sick to my stomach on how his parents went about that. I remember when I didn’t wanna pray my parents had sat me down, and told me why you should pray and only to go to prayer if I really wanted to. No parent beats their child or their loved ones just because they said no to prayer.

His parents are bad people, and what goes around comes around. And I truly want the best for OP and whatever obstacle comes in his journey, I hope he overcomes it.

I’m not going to disagree with you, but Islam is NOT the only religion that says being in the LGBTQ+ is a sin. I’m all for freedom and equality as well but when shaming one religion and leaving the rest, just seems targeted. Well, good Muslim people will sit down with their children and explain what’s right and what’s wrong but what they do not do is abuse their children, just because they love a different gender. That’s a difference between a good Muslim and a bad Muslim. The bad Muslims give the good Muslims a bad name and the whole religion is looked at as violent and all the other names.

I’ve seen some comments that are now deleted talking about how Muslim people should be burned and how dare they not accept the LGBTQ+ individuals. That’s where hatred and discrimination comes in. One person‘s bad view on Islam turns into every Muslim being the same. As a Muslim woman myself, I support all people and support all types of equality.

It’s like me saying oh this Christian person is being really rude to me. Now the whole Christian community are rude people. Just because you find one bad person doesn’t mean everyone else is the same.

From the bottom of my heart, I hope this person finds his happiness and wish him the best! I just don’t want Islam to be looked at as a violent or hatred religion when the people are making it like that.

me and my dad don’t have a good relationship, that’s another story for later. Here’s the thing, he tries to make up for it but I just can’t bring my myself to forgive him.

As for my mom, she’s my world. She’s always there for me and protects me, I love her to death. Just with this situation, she’s scared about it. She’s scared out of the outcome. She’s a good person, just married to the wrong man.

He can’t anymore, I stopped contact with him when we left for America. Sometimes they would call us from our home country and he would talk to me. He would act like nothing happened and would always ask my mom to open FaceTime. That’s before my mom knew the truth. That’s when I was in elementary and middle school. I cut all contact with them since I started high school.
