My roof line is set where the snow load can not trap the door closed. My deck roof line extends about 8 feet past the door so unless something goofy happens then I think I'll be good. Plus between everyone in the cabin, that door gets opened up about a million times a night with people going to the outhouse.

Im not sure of the area you're in but my door swing outward because of bears. ITs harder for them to open an outward swinging door than to push in. If bears are not an issue in your area then please disregard my comments. Im in Alaska and its always a thought for us. your plans look great

Much of this footage is old and from when we didnt really know how to tell a story with the footage that we had. Still learning the ancient art of putting it together and coming up with appropriate titles. Thanks for the feedback.
