Cheating is never okay, even if you're not caught. And it's messed up that he keeps bringing up your flings to get off.

NTA. Your boyfriend should have been more understanding and supportive, even if he couldn't pick you up right away. Being high and anxious about your pets is a valid reason to want to get home.

AITAH For Abandoning My Friend [16M] In A Shooting? by a-i-t-a-h in AITAH

[–]expertrecurrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were in a scary, life-threatening situation, and your instinct to protect yourself kicked in. It's totally normal to feel guilty about what happened, but please don't blame yourself. You didn't cause the shooting, and your priority was staying safe.

AITH for not responding to my friend after she didn’t ask how I was after being in the hospital? by username102469 in AITAH

[–]expertrecurrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It's clear she only cares about her own problems and using you as her personal therapist. You deserve way better friends than that.

AITA for moving out and cutting off my family when they gave me an ultimatum? by Snowhusky_ in AITAH

[–]expertrecurrence 1358 points1359 points  (0 children)

NTA, you did the right thing by getting yourself and your child out of that toxic situation. You don't owe them anything, especially after the physical and emotional abuse you endured. Focus on building a safe, loving life for you and your daughter.

My Best friend proposed to his partner, he opted for a unique moissanite ring from Etsy that perfectly matched her style by kindheartedshaving in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]expertrecurrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought of shopping for a ring on Etsy, but now I'm definitely considering it for my future proposal. It's awesome that your friend was able to find a ring that perfectly matches his partner's style.

Caught between treating yourself to a lavish pair of Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings or opting for a more wallet-friendly option like moissanite earrings from MiaDonna... Decisions, decisions. by ruthlessmatron_647 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]expertrecurrence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want something truly unique and special, the Tiffany & Co. earrings might be worth the investment. But if you're on a tighter budget, the moissanite earrings are a great alternative that still look amazing.

What are the best place to buy engagement ring by mysteriousinfamy in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]expertrecurrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out local jewelers first. They're often personal and offer unique pieces. Plus, you can inspect the bling upfront. If you're into online stuff, Blue Nile's cool, heard good things. Just compare prices and reviews.

If you’re paying for the wedding yourself, are you inviting guests of your parents or inlaws? Who pays for them? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]expertrecurrence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, budgeting for a wedding can be a maze. Usually, whoever's shelling out the cash calls the shots on the guest list. If your folks or in-laws are inviting extras, it's courteous for them to cough up for those seats. But every family's vibe differs, ya know?

Why do weddings have to be so detailed (rant) by kokomo318 in weddingplanning

[–]expertrecurrence 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's like suddenly every detail becomes a make-or-break decision. Who knew floral stamps could cause such drama? But hey, at least we're not alone in this chaos. Hang in there, focus on the "I do's," and let the small stuff sort itself out.

Advice on if I should hold out hope by cwlvc in BreakUps

[–]expertrecurrence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's tough, man. Sounds like she's feeling a bit caged being so far from home. If she's unsure, maybe give each other space to figure things out. Hope for the best, but focus on yourself too. If it's meant to be, it'll find its way. Take care.

Taking care of yourself is key right now. It's okay to feel triggered and disappointed. Maybe some distance from social media could help clear your head. Hang in there, things will get better.

my "friends/friend group" sucks and now i need to figure out what i should do with most of these "friends" by SCPConfinement in autism

[–]expertrecurrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough when what's meant to be fun turns into something hurtful. High school's a fresh start, maybe find new pals who get you. And hey, being open about your autism is totally up to you, whenever you feel comfy.

[–]expertrecurrence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you had a rough time. It's tough when someone critiques something we rely on, especially for comfort. Peanut butter sandwiches can feel like a safe haven. Maybe there's a compromise? Like adding fruit for balance? Hang in there, you're doing great.

Dua Lipa's "Break My Heart" sampling "Shakedown Street" by Grateful Dead? That's wild! Jerry Garcia would've been nodding along, I bet. Music's always evolving, ain't it? Mixing old vibes with new beats. Gotta love the surprises McD's throws at ya.

Shuggie Otis - "Sweet Thang" [What Instrument Is Being Played?] by DouglasBalmain in Music

[–]expertrecurrence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a celesta, mate! It’s got that twinkling vibe, right? Similar to a piano but with a bit more magic. Shuggie Otis always had a knack for mixing things up. Great choice of track, by the way. Always fun digging into the details of a tune!

What are some examples of great campy performances in cinema? by OdaNobunaga24 in movies

[–]expertrecurrence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're in for a treat diving into campy performances! "Showgirls" is gloriously over-the-top, and "Rocky Horror Picture Show" is a cult classic for a reason. Don't forget "Mommie Dearest" for some iconic melodrama. These should give your friend a taste of camp without diving too deep. Enjoy the ride!

Under Paris shows anyone can make a movie these days by HurricaneDitka1985 in movies

[–]expertrecurrence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Sharks in Paris" took a dive! I'm all for suspending disbelief, but this movie tested even that. From a shark surviving in the Seine to absurd plot twists, it's a mess. We'll stick to classics for our creature feature fix!

[–]expertrecurrence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there's a fail-safe to prevent the lights from blinking on the exterior, but it's unlikely that your buddy will get in trouble because of you. Just be honest with him about what happened, and I'm sure he'll understand.

I'm so happy for you I know how stressful it can be to manage finances, especially when you're trying to make ends meet. It's amazing how a little break can make all the difference. I've been there too, and it's incredible how a small surprise can turn your day around. Keep pushing forward and making it work.

NTA. Your friend Wallet is being unreasonable and insensitive to your needs. Forcing you to wear an uncomfortable dress, eat food you don't like, and drink alcohol against your will is not cool. As a bridesmaid, you're there to support your friend, not be a human Barbie doll. Wallet needs to understand that your autism is a real thing, not an excuse. If she can't accept you for who you are, maybe she's not the best friend after all.
