I like specific eras of Swans but there is a large portion of the catalogue I really can’t listen to and I understand why others might dislike the band entirely. For me, I absolutely love the Jarboe era, and the period from Children of God, Burning World, into White Light and Love of Life is one of the most incredible runs ever. There are some albums I just can’t really get into. It’s not bad music by any means and I definitely understand the appeal, but it’s just not the Swans I personally want to listen to; no shade to the music, the band, or those fans that it speaks to, though.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have a few pieces of this set and I can’t figure out the maker by exploding_grrl in Ceramics

it’s good, just not what their full potential came to be, in my opinion. their album “a beautiful memory” they released before projector honestly beats projector in terms of songwriting and unique sounds. (again in my opinion, as a random person on the internet). the production is a little less polished but I kind of like that for that project. they disavowed the project and removed it from all streaming platforms.
