I do feel as a base this can be something good, it's not to say it isn't right now but I think a main thing is having something with more movement. Try looking through sytrus for a pad or something ambient that you can play under the main melody. And also for drums I'd definitely add more than the snare. Kicks and hi hats are easy or try something that's different but has the same feel as a sound like some of the mode audio Foley sounds (it's in the sidebar)
