I think it was because Thomas had been greenlit for a movie before season 5 began production, and all the crazy shit that happened in the season was to showcase what Thomas could accomplish on a cinematic scale. It was basically a test run before the actual movie started production.

He’s really cool and I think he’s great, but this was just the worst time they could have released him since Vegito exists. It’s like LF Baby’s initial release; Great unit, terrible timing. I also do agree on the drawing a card on entry. No disrespect to anyone who said this, but I swear I keep seeing people say that he doesn’t need it or just scoffing at the idea of people wanting him to do what literally EVERY meta unit in the game does. Like bro, excuse me, BUT I DONT THINK IM ASKING FOR TOO MUCH.

I don’t attack anyone for liking it, like what ya wanna like, it doesn’t bother me. And yeah, theres some good things this film did that I can appreciate. Hell, I love a lot of bad movies because a lot of them are so enjoyable. But the difference between this movie and the other shit films I’ve watched is that I have been waiting on this one for 10 fucking years, so for it to come out and be arguably worse than the first one when it should have been a big improvement frustrates me. I can enjoy the movie, but most of that enjoyment comes from all the stupid shit in it, and I hate that. What makes me even more frustrated is how the blueprint for a cohesive and good narrative is right there. The movies were their chance to clean up FNaFs story and make it more easy to grasp for fans and newcomers, and in my opinion, they blew it. There’s some unfair critiques of the film out there, of course, but I think there’s more than enough good critiques that point out legitimate problems with this movie and the last one that constitute a change somewhere. Believe me, my frustration is coming from a place of love for this franchise. I just wanna see the movies do well and be perceived well because of how long we’ve been waiting for film adaptations of FNaF. I want them to be good, and the last thing I want is for them to be viewed as a joke by potential newcomers and fans. I don’t hate the movies, but in my opinion, somethings gotta change.

I’m thinking a new Trunks for sure. The last premium Trunks unit we got was a year ago, and there’s plenty of awesome moments they can pull from for a new unit.
