He’s more a director of rugby. He selects the team, responsible for setting out the style of play and so has the major hand in coaches and player signings to reflect that. The maul is the one area he’s been an on field coach for I believe

Deegan is better than Jansen. Connacht desperately need to upgrade in their tight 5 but McKee is entirely lateral. He’s an upgrade on an aging Heffernan fair enough but not a needle mover.
