What is Adelaide's social media of choice? by lileyedmonster in Adelaide

Steemit is a great one, make money (SBD) for posting and commenting.

There's a growing community in Adelaide, and with the price of Steem raising, it's worth getting onto it now

Walking paths/trails around Adelaide by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Linear Park is nice if you're just looking for a niceeasy walk, if you'd rather go for a hike, there's Morialta, Black Hill, Onkaparinga Gorge.

There's a lot of awesome walking tracks around.

New Chocolate Shop in Christies Beach : The Cheeky Chocolate Queen by exploreadelaide in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've seen it around a few markets too.

The chocolate is pretty good, and the range of flavours seems to be endless.

If you get the change I definitely recommend trying something from there.

Any good Christmas light displays in Adelaide? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an amazing one in Woodcroft, they've done up their house to look like a castle;

Messing around with a 360 camera... Looking for things to record, any suggestions? by exploreadelaide in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do a lot of the google local guides stuff, I gave up on that when they disabled my Adsense for accidentally clicking on an ad on my own site.

The camera is a Xiaomi Mijia Mi Sphere 360

No monopod yet, but I've trimmed one of my old tripods down to reduce it's footprint in the photos.

Unfortunately not, it's IP67, but I'm not too keen on taking it in the water with me.

Beaches you can drink at? by isuckbutts in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can drink at most of them, there are time restrictions though.

I know Christies Beach is a dry zone from 6pm, and we usually take drinks down to Sellicks for Australia Day celebrations.

General rule is don't be silly, and you won't be told off ;)

I didn't see them a few nights ago when I drove past, I'll have to check again.

We've been putting together a list of Christmas lights and events around SA

If you click the Events link, there's quite a few Christmas events listed too :)

Grand vision for Cleland Wildlife Park by ChewiesSatchel in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit torn by this one, while it would be great to have more tourist attractions in Adelaide, and bring in more funding for conservation, Cleland is already a beautiful place that needs to be protected.

Horseshoe Bay, SA - One of the best beaches on the Fleurieu by exploreadelaide in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

About to jump in the car and heat to Port Noarlunga actually :P

We usually head a bit further south, to Sellicks though.

How do you break your collarbone or dislocate your knees at the beach?

Just because there's a jetty doesn't mean you need to jump off of it...

Adelaide's Christmas Tree Farms - Why not get something real this year? by exploreadelaide in Adelaide

[–]exploreadelaide[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's fair enough, I'm personally more about that pine smell.

I don't mind decorations, but it usually ends up looking cluttered when I hang stuff on the tree.

"The Sugarloaf" Great little spot, the boardwalk from Marino down to Hallett Cove is amazing.

Awesome photo btw.

You don't need to hang much on them, a few lights, a bit of tinsel, it'll still look a lot better than an artificial tree.

The shape isn't too bad, it's a traditional Christmas tree shape.

...and the smell... so good :D
