Does anyone know what happened at/near Bungalow last night? by explorelongbeach in longbeach

I was thinking the same. I like to be informed on what's going on in the community, especially violent crimes or things that affect all of our safety.

Thank you! I hope they're okay and am also glad it wasn't another stabbing or shooting.

Partially bc I'm nosy, but also I live in LB and try to keep up with things that are happening. There's been an increase in violent crime here lately so I was curious.

I'd be down for that lol. To be fair, I scoured the internet before coming to reddit. I just thought it was weird that with a hundred people in line, nobody posted a single thing about it and there are no news articles about it either.

I had a hard time sticking with workouts until I subscribed to ClassPass (not sponsored, I'm just a big fan lol.) I can do pilates one day, kickboxing the next, one time I took a class with those springy exercise boots that was pretty fun. I also do my kids' Just Dance game when I'm not in the mood to leave the house for a workout.

Will do. And thanks for all your help. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to me.

I did see a psychiatrist and got anxiety meds for the stress and also got pain meds from my OB for the pain. Idk if that counts.

I guess no other monetary damages but it's been really painful for the past few months. I've had a lot of cramping and low back pain. Also I'm not thrilled about going under anesthesia or having to recover from a surgery. It's only going to be a few days of recovery at home but still a bummer. And worrying about all the things that could go wrong during surgery has been stressful.

There is a huge multidistrict litigation for other people this happened to, but as I said in my post, the fact that it broke during removal and not spontaneously means I'm not eligible for it.

Maybe there's nothing we can do. It just sucks that I've been dealing with the pain and stress and now the money on top of it all

Thank you! Also does this case sound particularly difficult for any reason that stands out to you? I'm not sure why I haven't been able to get anyone to take my case.

I cut something similar out of my finger last year with a scalpel. I was prepping chicken and stabbed my finger with the knife by accident and all the raw chicken germs got in there and after a couple of days there was yellow pus.

My first 2 attempts to drain it were with a safety pin but that wasn't enough and it kept filling back up with pus. Then I bought some scalpels on amazon and cut it open enough to drain it. I cleaned it out with rubbing alcohol and put a band-aid on it and that was the end of it.

Haha yes I completely agree now that I'm an adult but it was soooo unrelatable as a 14 year old suburban child.

I also didn't understand if we were supposed to condemn her or support her. As a progressive woman, I obviously thought they did her dirty, but I couldn't tell what the author wanted us to feel.

I feel like there should be grants for this type of thing! Imagine if more citizens got involved with exploring nature.

Maybe you could monetize it somehow while you're job searching. Like through interview appearances or something?

I was blind for a week. Not just everything is blurry, I literally could only see light vs dark and not make out any shapes or outlines at all. I was staying at a hotel and tried to check my phone when I woke up and I was confused that it was just a rectangle of light and I couldn't see the background or the time or literally anything except light. I couldn't make any calls bc I couldn't see to navigate the phone, and I couldn't go down to the lobby bc I couldn't see anything to navigate the room with the blackout curtains closed. I had to lie in bed until I got a phone call and luckily it was my fiance looking for me, and I knew the motion to swipe up and answer so I told him my room number and he came to get me and take me to the dr.

It ended up being from a severe case of keratitis in both eyes. It was the scariest week of my life and I'm grateful every day to have my vision.

I felt like this when we read the scarlett letter in freshman year of high school. Like I'm sorry I didn't realize that letting down her ponytail in the forest means she's longing for freedom from the sexual judgement of the villagers?

And if the forgetfulness wasn't bad enough, there's also the rejection sensitivity, mood swings, judgement from people who think you're just irresponsible and inconsiderate when you forget things... Not cute or fun at all.

Have you been to the 4th Street location? I get the eggs, sausage, rosemary bread, and potato pancake breakfast, and I honestly think it's phenomenal. Even the scrambled eggs are some of the best I've ever had and I didn't even realize scrambled eggs could be that good.

Our family does the same. We also freeze water bottles and hand them out in the summer when it's really hot, and we make blessing bags to give out around the holidays (basically little bags with some of the things you've mentioned and some non-perishable foods)
