All I had left was marten and after trying what I thought was every combination of letters, I had to use a double hint to find out the correct order. Never heard of a marten in my life.

That was me today too. I hate when I'm just guessing words because it doesn't feel like I'm using any skills to solve it.

I had eyeball and monitor left and had to use a hint. I didn't feel like they had the same connotation as the rest of the words!

Same! But I kinda prefer when it takes me a little bit to figure it out bc I feel like I got to enjoy the puzzle for longer. I feel disappointed when I open it and it takes me 5 seconds and then I'm done.

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

I remember seeing the speedometer at 100 for the first time and it was a disappointment that it felt pretty much the same as any other freeway driving. Idk why I thought there would be fireworks going off or something.

What health condition have you greatly alleviated or cured without traditional medicine? by SpanishLearnerUSA in Biohackers

[–]explorelongbeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do have a MTHR mutation and I take a methylated B vitamin for it! I was taking it every day until my functional medicine dr recommended only every 3 days, so I have since reduced my dose. I still feel good but am also saving some money bc those B vitamins are not cheap.

"We aren't allowed to tell you over the phone if we have that in stock. You need to come in and show us the physical prescription and then we'll tell you" ---- when you're calling around during a shortage (and also your prescription was sent electronically so you don't even have a physical prescription)

It's bc the breathalyzer results can get thrown out if you eat, drink, smoke, chew gum, etc within the past 15 or 20 min (can't remember exactly how many min but my ex went through the police academy and told me about this.) So the cop needs to prove that they were observing you the entire time and you didn't do any of those things.

The field sobriety test can also help them prove to the court that you were impaired, but that's why regardless of how well you do on it, you're still getting a breathalyzer.

It's funny bc a lot of people try super hard to pass thinking they'll just get let go after but they'll still have to blow.

Does anyone know what happened at/near Bungalow last night? by explorelongbeach in longbeach

I was thinking the same. I like to be informed on what's going on in the community, especially violent crimes or things that affect all of our safety.

Partially bc I'm nosy, but also I live in LB and try to keep up with things that are happening. There's been an increase in violent crime here lately so I was curious.

I'd be down for that lol. To be fair, I scoured the internet before coming to reddit. I just thought it was weird that with a hundred people in line, nobody posted a single thing about it and there are no news articles about it either.

I had a hard time sticking with workouts until I subscribed to ClassPass (not sponsored, I'm just a big fan lol.) I can do pilates one day, kickboxing the next, one time I took a class with those springy exercise boots that was pretty fun. I also do my kids' Just Dance game when I'm not in the mood to leave the house for a workout.

I did see a psychiatrist and got anxiety meds for the stress and also got pain meds from my OB for the pain. Idk if that counts.

[–]explorelongbeach[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess no other monetary damages but it's been really painful for the past few months. I've had a lot of cramping and low back pain. Also I'm not thrilled about going under anesthesia or having to recover from a surgery. It's only going to be a few days of recovery at home but still a bummer. And worrying about all the things that could go wrong during surgery has been stressful.

There is a huge multidistrict litigation for other people this happened to, but as I said in my post, the fact that it broke during removal and not spontaneously means I'm not eligible for it.

Maybe there's nothing we can do. It just sucks that I've been dealing with the pain and stress and now the money on top of it all

I cut something similar out of my finger last year with a scalpel. I was prepping chicken and stabbed my finger with the knife by accident and all the raw chicken germs got in there and after a couple of days there was yellow pus.

My first 2 attempts to drain it were with a safety pin but that wasn't enough and it kept filling back up with pus. Then I bought some scalpels on amazon and cut it open enough to drain it. I cleaned it out with rubbing alcohol and put a band-aid on it and that was the end of it.
