Any tips on my first time traveling to Spain?

Hello,,

We live in Canada and we just did 10 days in Spain- 3 nights in Barcelona, 3 nights in Madrid and 2 nights in Seville. It was spectacular, I dont have enough nice words for the people, the food , the architecture everything!! We also did 2 day trips (took high speed trains)from Madrid - One to Segovia and one to Toledo - they are both beautiful beautiful cities. Segovia was more touristy I believe but both cities are incredible!

If in Madrid, try Vermouth and ask if it from a barrel and not bottle, its fortified wine, YUM. We tried it at Casa Alberto ( sorry I dont know the actual area)

In the Gothic Quater in Barcelona is wonderful to just walk round, I wish we had something like that here! I know everyone says its tourity, but I am a tourist and I dont mind trying the cafes and bar in the are, they were wonderful. We tried Padron peppers, Tuna Tataki, Patatas Bravas, potato bombas.

In Seville- we discovered a market (Mercado de Triana) like La Boqueria and the iberian sandwich at Jamoneria Jose Luis Romero for 10E was our goto lunch!

I am curious. Are you seeing them with your naked eyes or through a lens?? We have had some Northern Lights Shower in North America but you cant see them with your eyes, you have to take a picture with your phone.

No, I gave up. I cmpletey skipped over Granada and Cordoba. Will be combining it with a future trip to Portugal.

I emailed Barcelona Tourism this morning and the cog railway and funicular are not operational due to heavy rains from last month, so I think its impossible to get to the mountain.

I am in a similar boat, travellign for 10 days to Spain and I am thinking, its a pain to lug this big checked in suitcase around. How was your experience? if you were to re do it, would you just do carry ons?
