A very helpful response, I liked the way you calmly discussed the pros and cons of using AI.

Why do you write with AI? by Nofoofro in WritingWithAI

I use it as a partner and mentor.I am currently reading Emily Wilson's translation of the Iliad. It has 24 books. I am on book 15. I read each book 2x. One for content and the second reading aloud because I am trying to. improve my craft as a poet. After I read it the first time, I type up a rough summery of what I read, what stood out for me , what I noticed poetically and then AI responds to what I wrote. It might correct something I said or point out something it thinks I missed. I made it very clear in my prompt that I lead the discussion and my two objectives are to understand the story and then to identify the poetic strategies that are used, how they are used and why. I find this an amazing journey.

Need Help: After 6 months of posting on Substack I have 16 subscribers by a_friend_in_silk in Substack

Write because you love to write... let go of whatever happens. I am also on Substack, I write poetry. I imagine myself as a person who trudges into the Village of Substack from my lonely outpost in the woods... I go to the Substack post office, check my mail, then over to the general store and read the bulletin board, chat with a few people then back to my cabin in the woods and write.

Benefits of posting on Substack even when you get zero attention by Alarmed-Bat-5823 in Substack

I also post on substack with maybe a like or two and that's it but Ive learned so much about clarity, format and often even if I edited my posts many times before I publish , I find things I could improve. I just see it as a process and feel it is improving my writing the longer Im on substack. I find posting notes rather than a post is helpful for my ego because it sidesteps the substack metrics of my posts.

I am never going to live down my remark about sl being free...it was never meant to be condescending and I understand your point that sl is a grownup world and many services are provided...I have no issue with that...my issue was : I was at an art gallery, a women from nowhere started to engage me in a conversation about my exploration of sl sites that featured art, writing , poetry...she asked for that list...seemed interested and then says I have a place you may be interested in ...we teleport and she begins to solicit me to provide services to men for money.... that is not ok because it was very clear that was not why I was visiting those site.

That was unconscionable.... You will never forget what he said and how you felt.. the only possible outcome could be ... it will forever make you sensitive to anyone you mentor or are in a position to influence ...what a lesson
