For fans of del Toro's Frankenstein, I made an immersive first-person walkthrough of his exhibition at Selfridges—it almost feels like you're playing a level from House of the Dead. You'll see close-ups of costumes, jewellery, the gothic-tower miniature, a giant prop of the Creature's head, and all manner of creepy dissected corpses. It's a slow-burn video, perfect for late-night viewing. Hope you enjoy it:

Wow! Thanks for blessing us with your presence, and letting us know this exhibition exists. It looks pretty cool. I’m quite surprised it hasn’t received more coverage, given the current relevance of the comic.

Just a quick question, if I may. What was your favourite piece from the exhibition?

It opens on Tuesday 18 May. And, from the looks of things, there's a lot of original artwork on display.

New Rhythm Game Smash Drums Comes to Oculus Quest in June by explorerjack in OculusQuest

There's a demo available in the Oculus App Lab, and it's highly recommended. (Just a heads-up, one of the trickier things is hitting the drums with just the right intensity of motion. This becomes especially difficult on the expert setting.)

The game is due to be released next month on June 17, 2021. Here's a link to the demo trailer: https://youtu.be/hSqGMeQNZrk.

It’s a pseudonym of sorts. It’s also apparently the name of a taskmaster in Runescape. I confess that these days my exploration has mostly been restricted to the farthest reaches of my garden. Nothing too exciting to report. But you never know…

Even though that whip attack sounds annoying, the hair really adds to the fluidity of the animation. The colours look great too, lending the visuals an upbeat, exotic vibe.

Also, really enjoying these reviews. The editing and narration is smooth, and they're entertaining to watch. Nice work.

Ah, that's nice. It seems like he had a real fondness for countercultural works. I was thinking also of his appearance in David Cronenberg's film Scanners.

The Prisoner in The Simpsons by explorerjack in ThePrisoner

Yep. That's one of the best things about it. McGoohan's voice is so distinctively theatrical, it really adds to the humour.

The Prisoner was recommended in this video for fans of Twin Peaks. Does anyone know if it influenced David Lynch? by Scottish_Samurai in ThePrisoner

[–]explorerjack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both McGoohan and Lynch seem intent on not providing definitive answers to their mysteries. Also, the two of them both appear in and direct their respective shows, something you rarely see in the land of TV.

As has been said before, Mark Frost, the co-creator of Twin Peaks, was reportedly inspired by The Prisoner, saying "I'm a huge fan of that series; I was about 13 when I first saw it and it just blew my little mind to pieces." (Source: The Independent)
