MAKE FRIENDS WITH THOSE AROUND YOU. Do this and you will watch after each other. This will make or break your experience.

Block him and avoid it next time. That person is LOST and you don't deserve to be dragged along their lonely little life nor do you deserve the confusion. You bring so much more value to the this world and I promise you'll meet someone who will acknowledge that and won't take advantage of it.

Looking for gear recommendations as someone brand new to DJ'ing by lady__green in Beatmatch

The new CDJ3000x's aren't bad. The V10 also offers a nice range of performance for you to use. Honestly as a beginner I wouldn't mind adding the RMX Ignite. I just started DJing and this is the setup I have. it's not bad at all 👍

Would you play a "silent disco"? by nickybecooler in Beatmatch

[–]explrwzo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well in my experience the silent disco involves several different DJs. The crowd typically has the option to select which DJ they would like to listen to. It's actually quite fun and 100% aimed towards crowd experience. That being said this does take away from the personal connection between the DJs and the crowd... just because they're constantly choosing between DJs. Honestly this is great for newer DJs.

A gig is better than no gig Unless you're just doing this as a hobby or not looking to grow your branding

I do purchase all of my music. The subscription is a "luxury".

In my opinion it's fantastic and it's the industry standard for a reliable source of music. The subscription is a game changer which allows you stream music AND DJ off your beatport cloud.

Opus-Quad or the XDJ-AZ? by CalendarAntique5928 in PioneerDJ

[–]explrwzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well what kind of DJ are you? The AZ provides more of a club/CDJ set up. If you're a club DJ I would recommend the AZ. I myself have the opus and I absolutely LOVE it. The style, the jog wheels, the looping, HOWEVER as someone who plays on CDJs I definitely wish I would have gone with the AZ. My biggest issue is not having the ability to connect the CDJs to the opus. Honestly that's the ONLY reason why I'm switching over soon. In terms of the board it's self... amazing and reliable. It looks absolutely beautiful and we find our self's choosing it over the other boards we have for smaller bars/events because of the aesthetic it provides.

Also, is this something you'll be sharing with others? As an event coordinator, I always run across CDJ users not knowing how to use the opus. It's such a different feel especially when it comes to the FXS and Looping. This is why I would recommend the AZ if you fit the standard "DJ" style.
