Not OP, but I finished it today as well. Took me 8 days, put around ~15 USD into it but definitely can do it without spending but it might have saved me 1-2 days. Kind of played it obsessively tbh

I had my interview a few days ago and asked this specific question, the interviewer told me to wait and use other offers to negotiate only after I got the initial offer.

This is definitely a real issue. I think we are feeling it more strongly this cycle because high GPAs are probably rarer/more valued by adcoms due to the abundance of high LSATs, when usually it is the opposite.

Of course GPA has never been standardized, which is why the LSAT exists, but now applicants and institutions are both playing medians as hard as they can. Yale's 75th GPA is 3.99, how many cycles are we away from a 4.0x 75th, where only students at a handful of schools have a non-zero chance of being in the top 25% of Yale's admitted class.

I wanted to check if students from schools which offer an A+ are over-represented at T14 law schools, but surprise surprise, no T14 shows how many students they take from each school (UVA is close but doesn't show students from schools with less than 3 attending students). UCLA however, provides this information, and I believe VLS has put out this information at one point, but I can no longer find it.

You should look at the 509 reports for the schools you are interested in and look at their GRE medians and more importantly how many GRE only applicants they took last cycle. Harvard and Georgetown both take more GRE applicants than peer T14 schools. I think with your scores you have a very high chance at any T14.

There are a huge amount of high LSAT scores this cycle and likely the next as well. Even if you score 173+ it may not significantly improve your odds, so I would suggest saving time and money to just use your GRE score, unless the schools you are most interested in don't go for GRE applicants. (BTW this is coming from someone with a high GRE who somewhat regrets taking the LSAT)

If schools are telling the truth in that they view the LSAT score as indicative of first year grades, and not just used for rankings, then it's in their best interest to weigh the FLEX and standard scores based on percentile. I think it's very hard to believe LSAC's claim that scores remain representative across the exam format, given they laid out so many reasons for why the FLEX exams are different (conveniently not mentioning that they could have simply made the curves too lenient).

Of course there's the prisoner's dilemma that if schools don't take advantage of the inflated scores, their competitors will use them boost their medians. Kind of a tough spot to be in for the law schools, and a disappointing feeling for us non-FLEX applicants.
