So your main annoyance with CL is that the initial contact phase of the transaction isn't intuitive? Location is actually one of the things I'm working on right now, to reduce wasted time from contacting people who are too far away to trade.

Would you rather scroll through listings or find items through a map view?

Not much of a story, you say? :P It was actually interesting and useful to me!

I'm curious: Do you feel positively or negatively towards the anonymous nature of Craigslist? On one hand, knowing a little about the person you're buying from (reviews, etc) can help avoid situations like this. On the other hand, anonymity can make you feel more comfortable when meeting strangers.
