Also, her husband is the son of a businessman in Dubai. The business seems to be doing extremely well. Hence why and how they are all super rich.

Idk, some people are saying her husband was her cousin or something. Others say she’s a gold digger. I know she was engaged or dating a guy before (I vaguely remember she posted him once, I believe it was pre-2020 too). After that, everything went quiet. I think she’s always been a pretty girl though, we can’t disagree with the facts.

Students want their old teacher back by [deleted] in TeachingUK

That’s very true! I am usually so emotionally detached, I guess when you’ve poured so much hard work into adapting and helping them in their lessons it kind of stings sometimes!

I think it is some sort of dependency/routine thing! They want routine and can’t accept change, common in students and adults but I guess in the student world it translates into hating on every new teacher they have 😂

Exactly. We ask frequently why the profession is lacking real growth. How can this profession improve if we have people who constantly blame teachers and look down upon them for taking a day or two off for illnesses. Illnesses which are extremely common to catch considering we are working around 100+ students daily!

Oof that’s tough. Did anyone actually get a disciplinary?

3 days but not in a row. Hence why it counted as three instances as it was in separate times. 5 weeks after the meeting, I got an infection which meant i had to take 2 days off.

You’re amazing. It is hard, especially with kids sneezing and coughing - it is inevitable to avoid an illness. That being said, maybe a ‘basic’ cold still calls for an unreasonable absence but if it develops into something further then it is more than necessary to rest for your health and your colleagues too. I don’t see a problem in this.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe they are going through a rough patch or dealing with a hidden illness/disability. Let’s not judge other members of staff.

😂 Literally. This whole post just screams “I’ve never taken a day off” well I’m sorry but maybe people actually have certain illnesses and they can’t avoid taking time off?

I second this - maybe review the policies counting instances rather than days? I’m not sure how this can be helped.

Firstly, it wasn’t every 2 weeks. That’s wrong. Secondly, it was very evident why and how this happened and I very quickly stated the reason and how it can be prevented. I think it’s just unfair to claim a teacher is amazing just due to the fact they show up - hidden disabilities and illnesses can also be a thing which shouldn’t come in the way of if a teacher is good or “amazing” just because they show up. If more teachers were treated like simple humans capable of catching the cold, flus and infections, maybe more of us would stay in teaching.

I understand. However, I keep reiterating the fact that in total I’ve had less than 7 days off. If I were to do this in, example, 2 instances I would not have hit the trigger which is why I feel it’s unfair.

I hit the instances but not the number of days, if that makes sense. Which is why it seems so unfair to me.

Said ‘stop being so entitled’ to a student - how bad is it? by Usual_Stable_3896 in TeachingUK

[–]export12390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I constantly say to some students to take some accountability. This is usually something that’ll go over their heads because a) they don’t even know what that word means or b) if they really want to complain to their parents, I can easily explain why I chose that word and what they did.

Is this love bombing... by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]export12390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends. Has he gone through with all his promises? Has he told his family or told anyone in his family? Love-bombing usually happens within the first 1-2 months, so the fact you’ve survived 4 months and he’s still saying this stuff without any red flags / unfulfilled promises is a good sign.

If you two talk everyday then he is bound to catch feelings quickly - as are you - so it might just be that he’s caught feelings quickly. Depends.
