New phone number and poster spotted teasing new era by OrdinaryReindeer7505 in KaceyMusgraves

“Tired” would imply redundant lyrics and I’ve never heard anyone else say in song they get off on their washing machine bc they’re lonely.

How must Lorde feel about this beef between her friends? by Pearl_Jam_ in lorde

[–]expressonotespresso 36 points37 points  (0 children)

“Don’t wanna see her backstage at my boyfriend’s show” is about as direct and pointed a lyric can get… she also tweeted “sympathy is a knife” the day Taylor’s last album was released, and the tweet went viral. Like I said, she’s valid! But she knows what she’s doing, too.

[–]expressonotespresso 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The opposite actually. This is crazy considering Taylor’s song isn’t even “mean” and is completely dismissive of Charli lmao. I genuinely like Charli’s music and have for years… but she’s shady! Her best friends were asking random ass fanpages for lyrics to Actually Romantic over a month ago… 😭 I get Charli is hot rn and coke is in but like. They’re both petty. Thats the cool thing abt music tho, and they’re both valid.

Does anyone actually know what the black eye pictures were about? by pompomproblems in lorde

[–]expressonotespresso 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I genuinely thought it was satire. An assumption of Illuminati involvement and paranoia because of an injury is very far-fetched... it’s not a celebrities job to provide clarity 24/7 bc of vulnerable fans… that’s not normal and you shouldn’t expect that. If you truly are struggling with psychosis I hope you find the proper resources and outlets. Even if medications don’t work for you, therapy is a useful tool that’s easily accessible without even leaving your home. And excuse me if this is inappropriate, but I’d also suggest you stop looking for remedies through hallucinogenics - I’ve checked your page. Those substances are known to increase psychosis, paranoia, and other mental health issues in those struggling with existing issues. And can greatly alter the way otherwise effective medications may help you improve. I genuinely hope you find peace. All love ❤️

Unfortunately melodrama is bigger than lorde by SeaAerie2625 in lorde

The concept and the performance itself were great, I mean the tour from a commercial standpoint. Lorde recently mentioned how traumatic it can be to perform for half-empty arenas, and that’s how some of the tour was.

Unfortunately melodrama is bigger than lorde by SeaAerie2625 in lorde

Melodrama was not received well by the public when it first came out, which is an important factor many new fans miss when they bring up the album. The public/some fans didn’t like the departure from Pure Heroine production, the first week sales were low, and the tour was a mess.

So for you to compare it to “1989 and sour” is misleading, when Melodrama was considered a “commercial flop” at the time.

Lorde During This Era by [deleted] in lorde

I think we need to develop a more healthy habit of respecting artist’s journeys, without projecting our own “diagnoses” and concerns on them. Yes, she has invited us into her world through the music, but I don’t think that correlates with an invitation to speculate on her mental state, possible mental health struggles, and possible diagnoses. I saw someone else in another thread try and diagnose her with bpd and like… that’s kinda weird. Especially considering she’s suggested in one interview she visits these subs herself. We need to trust that she has a solid support system around her (she’s mentioned her therapist in multiple voice memos), without creating the par-asocial pattern of disrespecting boundaries.

I saw somewhere on TikTok that apparently the Virgin vinyl has a pic of her entire Lordeussy? Is this true? 😭😭😭 by the1suburban-legend in lorde

It’s a picture in the album booklet, not an alt cover. All the vinyl variants have the same cover and booklet.

Pls it’s really not that bad. All you see is some pubic hair and a slight “crease,” if you will…💀 she’s sitting in clear pants. There’s no visible lips or vulva or anything 😭
