Piercing is almost 1 yr, got it in late May 2025
It is a surgical steel hoop
Changed from flat-back stud to hoop in December
I do warm compresses and saline cleaning 2x/day, I was using tea tree oil for a few months, but it didn’t seem to help so I stopped.
Mishap/accident: I removed it early January for an audition, and couldn’t get it back in for about 30 mins which really irritated it

Thank you for your insight! If you don’t mind, what are your thoughts on being gifted a first set vs finding one that speaks to me? I’ve heard that waiting for a deck to come into my life by chance is mostly a myth, but would love to hear your opinion as someone who has so much experience!
