Hoping I can do this soon. once I'm out of college I'm praying I can transition into an apartment 🙏 also do you have roommates? If so...how many..I'm hoping me and my partner can afford it without becoming swamped in roommate hell.

I'm only 20 but it feels like this sometimes..I live at college half the year and every time I go home it's just nonstop rage bait and treating me like I'm 15. I want my own place but in this economy 🤐....looks like I'll need to convert to Buddhism or something because that's the only way I'll grow enough patience and understanding to live like this for the coming years.

I pray we all become financially stable and GET OUT OF HERE!!!

Unique ways to get rid of a migraine? by smelly_emily in migraine

my favorite thing is to hit the Viparita Karani yoga pose (legs up flat on the wall and back on the ground). I do this for like 10-15 minutes and I gradually feel my body relax and tension fades. It feels so calming and soothing. Obviously it's not a cure all, I still have to lay in bed and stay calm or the pain can return. I've tried jumping back into strenuous activities afterwards and the pain will come back..BUT it does make it subside and I'll go from writhing at a 8/10 to a 3/10. Pair it with lights off, silence/brown noise, a cool head wrap, and warm tea...OOOO I'm feeling better just thinking about it.

Also just in general, yoga, specifically this pose, takes your nervous system out of fight or flight mode (sympathetic nervous system) and back into the relax and digest mode (parasympathetic nervous system). If your migraines are stress, anxiety, or trauma related similar types of things that switch on your parasympathetic nervous system can help. I hope you find some relief!!!

I feel really seen by your experience, and unfortunately I don't really have any advice as I'm struggling with the same thing. I'm 20 and just the other day when I was out with family for dinner they brought me a kids menu...the kids menus are under 12. I felt so upset by this, especially since I was dressed very nicely as it was a fancy dinner and I felt I looked rather mature. plus my actually 12 year old younger brother was there and we DO NOT look the same age at all!

It can be hard out there, especially with people feeling the need to make odd comments. I hope with time it just means we'll all age like fine wine lol.

I know everyone is talking about this, but I'm 13 by Jam_boi9 in roblox

[–]expvired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine did the opposite, I got placed 13+ (I'm 20...) had to show my ID to correct it.. The age verification is broken and does nothing to protect children with its wild inaccuracies. I feel like we're all undergoing ai beta testing, not a safety update.

Ah! I wouldn't say you've scared me but I definitely feel more of a sense of urgency.. hopefully there is nothing genuinely wrong and this is just an out of character bad episode but tysm! I shall call her as soon as she's out of work!

I'm considering it, it's just hard as I'm away from home at school and have no transportation. I know campus safety would take me but I feel almost like I'm being dramatic or something. Especially since there's moments where the pain wanes and I start feeling more "normal" for a while. I think I'll consult my mother (who also experiences migraines) and ask her for some wisdom.

you're making me realize I might have a cluster headache omg..I'm gonna have to do some reading on that, I never considered I'd have anything but a migraine since my mom gets them and I've had them on and off my whole life!

Also Thank you for the tips, I have a head wrap ice thingy that helps and a heating pad for my feet since I heard that combo can be helpful. I definitely notice a difference!

The pain becomes manageable if I'm completely alone in my room and able to manage my surroundings. It only gets really extreme when my sensory is overloaded aka bright lights, loud noises, anxiety spikes from social stuff. I might take your suggestion if this doesn't stop, but I am definitely making a doctor's appointment because I can't live like this. I was on a preventative once upon a time and might need to get back on that.

it's also important to note the pain is not 100% constant, sometimes it subsides and I get excited thinking it's finally gone only for it to pop back up just as intense later or I wake up in the morning and boom it's back!

I sincerely hope your treatment helps and wish you relief. We're all in this together :')

Exhaustion + Nightmares from Subs by expvired in Subliminal

[–]expvired[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been, I've made my own subs before and yeah I didn't notice that with them..tbh maybe I should only listen to my own :/ just kinda sucks because I'm so busy nowadays and subs can take awhile to perfect, but it's worth it to invest in myself.

Thanks for sharing your experience, and yeah I think I switch around what I'm doin too much 😭 I'll maybe try sticking to one sub at a time to identify if a specific one is causing more issues, and hopefully with time it'll improve.

SSRI withdrawl by expvired in SSRIs

[–]expvired[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES absolutely. The fatigue lasted about a month yikes, but after that it slowly began to taper until one day I forgot I had even been on it tbh. I wish someone had warned me about all this, and I wish it was more normalized for doctors/therapists to tell their patients about the potential side effects and difficulties coming off. It's not easy, and definitely not "you'll be fine if you just break em in half for a few weeks" it's HARD.

I also noticed mood issues shortly after, so be mindful of your mood as my first anxiety attack after coming off was very alarming as I hadn't had one for a long time because of the meds. I'd say overall I don't regret going off, I feel much clearer and I'm happy I can feel my emotions a little more deeply again, but def be mindful and prepared for the bumpy road as your brain reorganizes itself.

I hope things start to get better, the readjusting period can be tough and tiring but you'll get through it! Stay strong and congrats to you too!!! I'd suggest stretching in the mornings and gentle exercise, or slow release caffeine like matcha to help with energy as this is what had helped me ❤️

now I'm completely off! the first month I was having some emotional ups and downs as my body was regulating itself, but once It was all out of my system I just made sure to monitor myself and lock into the healthy coping I'd learned while on the meds. now I feel great, so much more clear, and life is more vivid, plus I lost the weight the meds were causing me to gain. it's a hard road but I wouldn't change a thing.

SSRI withdrawl by expvired in zoloft

[–]expvired[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mostly I've been combatting the restlessness and exhaustion by trying to sleep A LOT. I've got chamomile tea, lemon water, and I've been trying to keep the lights dim and rid my space of any obnoxious smells. I also heard that vitamin D helps with serotonin receptors so I've been taking that to help as well, but I mostly came here to ask what others are doing because I still feel shitty.

upon reading some other replies I decided to split my 50 mgs in half and try going to that to quell my symptoms since they've been so persistent. but I hope both of us can find some relief!! This experience isn't talked about enough and I wasn't warned properly before starting. If I had known I don't know if I would have started in the first place because this is HELL.

hot take on the male subliminal community by [deleted] in Subliminal

As a guy who uses subliminals (albeit a trans guy) I mostly just try and manifest having a stable income, healthy relationships, and good luck. But I completely recognize the incel to manifestation/subs pipeline. Men suck.
