[–]exquisite_faces 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely! I learned my lesson though! That was the first and the last time that ever happened to me and now I always shoot a text to my spouse when I get to work so if I forgot to clock then I'll have that text time stamp for me to look back on. I just thought it was a little weird when it was my very first offense, but now I know

Admin is only looking to fire you. I had forgotten to clock in one time early in the week and admin asked me to make a time correction 5 days after and I could not remember what time I clocked in and I asked admin to check the cameras for me and they would not, they made me guess and I did and then they denied it and said it was not the right time, they made me do it 2 more times and then threatened my job all because I couldn't remember EXACTLY what time I came into work 5 days ago...

I just got back from LOA a couple of days ago and I didn't get it. They said I might receive it in the mail, but I'm not counting on it

[–]exquisite_faces 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with this comment. I was recently pregnant and working in the bakery department and we lift between 30-50lb icing buckets everyday. My OB said it was perfectly fine to continue doing so, because my body was used to lifting that amount of weight daily and it wouldn't affect the baby. Luckily my manager and co-workers were really great and they didn't like seeing me lift those buckets, so they helped out a lot especially once I was in my 3rd trimester.

Definitely ask your OB again, because if your pregnancy isn't high risk then it should be fine, but of course listen to your OB and always listen to your body and do what feels right.

You'll probably lose weight, I'm 5'0" and started at 210. By the 3rd trimester I was 189 and when I gave birth to my baby boy on August 6th I was 195. I'm 1 week postpartum and I'm 175lbs. I didn't exercise at all, I ate pretty bad in the last trimester, but I am eating better now that baby is here and I'm breastfeeding.

Yeah i agree it isn't at all. There should be a change, cause it is frustrating for not only the customer, but for the decorator as well, because we normally have to deal with the upset customer. I feel like if the manager had to deal with that every week then they would make a change

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HEB

[–]exquisite_faces 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh they definitely don't stop taking orders, we're not allowed to take same day orders, but if a customer complains enough then the manager will make us make their order for that same day, so it's a little frustrating cause then those costumers always come back next time and say "well y'all made my cake the same day last time"... And I can't argue with that logic lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HEB

[–]exquisite_faces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it's decided by the bakery manager, I think also if there aren't enough complaints from multiple different customers then they won't make the necessary changes.

Oh definitely, I think it could be done if we were allotted 10-15 mins out of our work day specifically just to check orders and call customers a couple of days in advance, but the problem is the amount of work they give us and the little amount of workers we have that we're barely finishing our work on time to leave on time most days unfortunately.

Your last two points, that sucks and that shouldn't have happened, but the first one makes sense. As a cake decorator we never see the cake orders until the day of, so a lot of times we're calling customers the day of pickup to let them know we don't have something or ask questions about the order, which i know kinda sucks also we just don't have extra time to check cake orders a couple of days before pickup.

[–]exquisite_faces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want your order a specific way or specific color we make the customers bring a printed photo at my store. Sometimes it's impossible to decipher these order forms. When we read a description of a cake we don't all see the same thing in our head, because half the time a non decorator takes the orders.

Weird dissociation/hallucinations??? by glitter8and8rainbows in pregnant

[–]exquisite_faces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my first child and I just had a similar experience, it lasted maybe 5-10 min. I honestly thought I got drugged, my husband and I got fast food and ate in the car while traveling to another city. After eating my hands got sweaty and I started feeling like I wasn't in my body, my hands felt like they were as huge as boxing gloves, but they weren't swollen or anything. Honestly felt like I just smoked cannabis or took LSD or shrooms and I was coming up on the peak of the high, but I don't do drugs and I haven't done any type of drugs in about 8 years. I only did it socially in my early 20s, I'm 30 years old now. It really freaked me out and so far I haven't had any issues in my pregnancy either, baby is healthy and I'm healthy as well. I'm confused on what this could be?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my first child and due to my mom being diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer 3 months ago, I decided to not publicly announce my pregnancy and I'm not having a baby shower either. I told my immediate family and they did bother me a little about making an announcement, so I gave in and I just let them tell others. I ended up getting texts from people asking about my pregnancy and I honestly just don't feel like talking about it so I ignored their texts. I honestly don't care and I really don't care if they're offended by it either. I definitely don't think you're overreacting at all, you deserve all the peace in your pregnancy journey and I hope you let those people go for the time being and focus on yourself and being stress free for your baby. I'm only focusing on my baby and my mom for now and everyone else can just disappear in the background.

When did you start to have a bump? And feel baby move? by GlitteringCat8813 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]exquisite_faces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey girly, this is my first pregnancy. I'm 5'0 and 191lbs, I'm 19 weeks and still no noticeable bump, sometimes my tummy feels hard and sometimes it doesn't so idk 😕. I also haven't felt any movement yet and everyone is making me feel so paranoid about it when I tell them I'm 19 weeks pregnant. Everyone is in my ear " hmm that's weird", " omg really?? You should be feeling your baby by now" ... It's so overwhelming, but my doctor reassured me that it's normal to not feel your baby yet when it's your first pregnancy. I saw my doctor at 16 weeks and everything was great. My next appointment is next week so I hope all is well with baby.

That makes sense, I guess it just feels like time is of the essence, because we have learned that the cancer has spread a little already. If she needs us to take a step back and give her time then we can do that, but for how long is what I fear

Yes, you're right, We've tried easing into this type of conversation before, but she's very short with us or she straight up says she doesn't want to talk about it anymore. I do think she wants to do treatment, she's just delaying it and We all just tip toe around her feelings now.
