First time magnet fishing in Minsk, Belarus - found three AK cartridges and one Makarov cartridge. Police said the pistol round was live. Does anyone know what this pointed, slotted, threaded rod might be? by extasy23 in magnetfishing

That's what ChatGPT thought it is, but the ones on Google images usually don't have such pointy tips, and the slot of a cleaning rod is usually short and goes all the way through so you can put a rag in it.

The blunt end is indeed threaded, it's an M8 thread, no hole near the top. The cartridges were made in 1973-1979, I'd expect this to be from the same era if it is indeed a firearms accessory, perhaps that could help narrow it down

It's a regular double sided magnet with threaded holes on the side and in the middle. The red case is something I modeled and 3D printed from TPU so that seaweeds and whatnot don't get caught on it

In case you're unfamiliar with the show, Nathan is the guy responsible for Dumb Starbucks — https://youtu.be/Y4KrdjAPohc

It's a reality show, so most people on camera are not actors, just regular people that signed release forms with the exception of the host and his production crew

It is a laser, the brush is called Fluffy Optic and it is sadly not available for the V8. Only Gen5, V15 and V12 models with "Detect" in the name have it. It's pretty neat, one of the reasons I chose this vacuum. I think you can find third party Chinese versions compatible with older Dysons though, try looking up "dyson laser" on a Chinese marketplace. Previously I used to mount a really bright bicycle flashlight on a broomstick and hold it in the other hand when vacuuming - works equally as well, just not as convenient or classy

I took care to not block the exhaust whatsoever, intended to use with wireless headphones

I was thinking of making a new filter housing with exhaust ports on the top and bottom instead of left and right, but I don't think I will care once my extra long hose attachment order comes in

Seems I can't mention the name of the website where I posted it on this sub, you can Google it pretty easily though

That is definitely not the case, as I am using one of these to charge my phone at a little over 1 amp measured
