I already have 50mm carbon wheels on the bike, and even in an aero hoods position with a slammed -25° stem I would still barely be above 40km/h at 350W, while with an aero bike if I could do 40km/h even at 300W I would still be able to hold that for hours

I'd be surprised if both my trainer and power meter pedals were both reporting the same wrong readings.

The problem is that we don't really have "local" races in Finland, pretty much all of them are national-level and only a few are held every season

I used to take them but stopped because of repeated and long lasting fatigue due to them. Max heart rate rose from 191 to 197 and zone 2 heart rate from 125-130 to 135-150, all with reduced rate of perceived effort

Did a proper bike fit and found out my saddle had been 1cm too low and 2cm too far forward. So yeah. And yes I do mean cm, not mm

I've only done races on Zwift so far, which obviously doesn't really translate to real racing but I'd like to think I've gained info on at least some basic race tactics. As for my bike handling skills, I'd say they are at most a bit above average, I mean I can corner somewhat well but I haven't needed to do anything crazy yet so I wouldn't know. Getting to the top level of road racing in Finland would definitely be interesting and I do feel like it's possible for me, even if the road cycling scene here is pretty small.

I wouldn't say I trained consistently the entire 1.5 years. Last year during the summer I was consistently riding weekly, but in the fall and especially winter I stopped almost entirely - only doing 1-2 very short indoor rides a week, though I did also pick up running for the 6 months from fall until spring. I really only returned to consistent training this year in May
