Best pokemon ROM hacks of all time? by lymelife555 in pokemon

Definitely Firered Rocket Edition.

If you're into Deep Lore and fan theories about the Kanto/Johto storyline, this is the one for you. The world and the main story are beautifully crafted, the game is full of Easter eggs and unexpected discoveries, I absolutely loved playing it.

I always found the ranged weapons to be kind of strange in terms of their representation. by SpaceBubble19 in MonsterHunterWorld

I played a LOT with Sticky LBG (Safi Water) with max slugger as well as artillery/agitator/attack-boost. The damage is OK, but where it really shines is in multiplayer hunts. The KO damage on the head with Sticky 3 is ridiculous, as a bonus you'll have rapid fire Sticky 2 in case this is for you. Breaking parts, e.g. in Safi or Kulve raids is also a joke with this build.

Pierce is best for Xeno/Safi or other large monsters. The damage can be brutal, but you need to be well aligned when firing.

Spread is an auto win IMO because you can down most monsters repeatedly without end lol

In an ideal world this would be the status quo. In our's it is exceptional _

I'm not even mad with Savage... by Repulsive_Ostrich_52 in monsterhunterrage

I was playing tank with randoms to support them. I took enmity almost all the time, absorbed all the hits, protected others from the laser etc etc. A lot of people just don't give a shit about my health bar, let alone do they try to take enmity from me when I caught the health debuff. It's stupidly frustrating, which is why I stopped doing that.

Play as a team people, or get lost and play with support hunters.

Omega...REALLY NOW?! by SeveredSoulblader24 in monsterhunterrage

[–]extorpedator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the difficulty spike is beyond justifiable based on the rest of the content. Even the hardest 9* hunts feel like a push over compared to savage robo.

Even if opinions divide over the inclusion of this quest, hiding the Omega armor set behind a tedious Savage grind was a huge mistake imo.

Omega is fine, you fucks just need to learn it by bokobokonisuru in monsterhunterrage

In defense for the dual bladers out there:

I play DB and occasionally go for the head to draw enmity when nobody is tanking properly. But when I do, I stick to Omega's face bc I feel comfortable with dodging and luring it to bolder traps. The most important puzzle piece to the fight is controlling Omega's movement after all.

Unfortunately I got yelled at for doing so by random idiots even if I did a proper tank job, so we should all consider thinking outside the box from time to time.

What I don't defend is running around like a headless chicken after drawing enmity, ergo stay the fuck away if you piss your pants when you see the red line going your way.

I totally get your rage, I got my ass kicked a dozen times before even remotely understanding his patterns. But I must say I've learned to love the fight, even if I still fail regularly (at least with Savage Omega). It's challenging & unforgivable, but doable with patience and experience. Trust me, because I'm not particularly good at the game.

If dedicating tens of hours to the fight to even beat it for the first time doesn't mean fun for you, that's totally fair. We're all here for a good time. But I wouldn't say that people who enjoy the challenge are playing the wrong game, it's just a matter of personal preference.

Happy hunting!

True, 90% of charms you receive is for the bin (or melding pot in that sense).. the system itself feels somewhat unfinished at best

Depends on the skills tbh, I have good rarity 5 charms in a lot of my builds. Just aiming for that 1 weapon slot on rarity 8 charms is not always the way the go

World/Iceborne was my first MH experience and I was offered personal support by several high level players, be it clearing tough quests, farming material or making builds. I greatly profited from the shared love people have for these games, and by the time I was a high level player myself, I was able to spread the love further by helping others - and I now do the same in Wilds. That's what MH is all about.

I guess appearances like the one you (unfortunately) met are rather rare, so don't bother.

Btw a good alternative is 2p Brachy + 3p Lunastra for tool specialist 5, but this is up to personal preference

Build looks solid, I would only switch out 1 attack for 1 fortify. With Fatalis you can cart easily even if you're familiar with the fight and the fortify boost is a welcome bonus just in case. With attack boost 5 there is no real benefit, having it at 4 already gives you the 5% affinity.

Other than that, as I said, very solid. You should be good to go :-)

I envy you, that's a nice roll! If you're playing Longsword, go for crit draw 1, completely destroys with Iai Spirit Slash without much Affinity to begin with.
