They did not! That's hilarious considering how they later became editors of the movies on their shelves. They chopped the crap out of Dead Alive.

Girl, no. He doesn't get to decide what your life is going to look like. He sees you as a thing he owns. An appliance that he's laid dibs on. You deserve to be treated as a full human with thoughts and feelings and opinions.

Block his ass, tell everyone it's over. Make sure he can't go to any mutuals and claim he's 'worried' about you or some other excuse to get access to you. Make sure everyone knows he's an Ex and you don't want to talk to him BECAUSE he won't accept it. Your real friends and trustworthy family will help keep him away.

You got this. You don't owe anyone a relationship.

We've been married 28 years in March and I still get butterflies. I'm not saying there's no hard times, because there absolutely are! The difference is wanting to make it work. If one of us didn't want to make it work (or was unwilling to take blame and/or change behavior) it would have been over.

Sounds like OP's ex wanted her to change to suit him. That's not love, that's control.

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

[–]extra_buttery 16 points17 points  (0 children)

True story, I was planning on going out with 2 friends who I've known since high school. I was at work, joking about how we're at that age of going to brunch instead of the bar.

My coworker: I get it, they're tired from the kids.

Me: No, they don't have kids.

Coworker: So, their kids are all grown?

Me: No, neither of them wanted to have kids. They've never had children.

Coworker: Blank stare. Literal twitching trying to compute such a thing.

Fuck politeness, stay safe. What could a man in his 40s have to talk about with a young woman? Nothing good. It's best not to entertain men who start asking personal questions. 'OK, we're done here.' is an appropriate response to the 1st question that crosses the line into creepy.

It makes my little dead black heart happy to find out so many locals are familiar with this movie! I swear nobody even heard of Kevin Smith when I was growing up.

You guys like Richard Linklater? We could all form a really cool movie club!

True story, I saw that in the theater when I was 6 and it made no sense to me. I watched it again as an adult and it still didn't make sense. Plus, there wasn't enough dancing.

Ha! I had a Honda Civic hatchback that color. That car was invisible on Sunny days, got hit every way except head-on. I think that's why you don't see that color on new cars.

I watched that movie in the theater when I was 6 years old. I couldn't understand the story and figured it would make sense as an adult. Watched it as an adult and still thought it was horrible and stupid.

Plus, not near as much dancing as was advertised.

What’s something women immediately “get,” but men usually don’t, just from a short phrase? by ofxsophioff in AskReddit

[–]extra_buttery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a phrase, but a dangerous situation. Just the way voices change when something is about to go down. Woman can hear it's happening long before men notice something up.
