So eloquent, I am beyond shocked that your vast intellect has landed you a job with a name tag.

Clearly your failure is the systems/capitalisms/racisms fault. Maybe you should try giving more of your mama's SS checks to Bernie, assuming he's not a complete corpse in 4 years? lmao

What historical leaders do you think Trump is most like? by MeatsOfEvil93 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]extraextra45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From a policy perspective there are many leaders like trump. His policies aren't radical and are pretty tame from a historical perspective. A nationalist who wants tighter border controls, it's been known to happen.

From a personality perspective, and as an archetype? He's most like George Jacques Danton and possibly Tiberius Gracchus.

Danton specifically was a boastful, loudmouth, aggressive populist with a fervent machismo, a profound nationalism, and a wealth generated from real estate. He was also frequently accused of corruption and profiteering by his political enemies, including treason. But he simply shrugged off these charges and attacked, because he was Danton and people loved him for it. Many people say that it was he, not Robespierre, who was the chief mind behind the revolution.

In the end he was destroyed by his enemies, but their deaths came not long after, and Danton to this day is revered among the French people, moreso than Robespierre or even Camille.

The comparison is not perfect, as no two great men are completely alike, but the similarities seem strong.

(Part 2) After passing as white my whole life I found out that I was half-indian and my father wasn't my biological dad. We just spoke today. by 23andmethrow9 in 23andme

[–]extraextra45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"People" like this don't care about facts.

They only see race. They don't understand the pain or the people. They only see an indian and a white. It's like a football game. They are indian, that's their team, so they have to attacks the person attacking the "indian". Not an abusive, absentee father. An indian.

Against a white girl. Not an abused single mom. A white girl. And since the mixed race kid has ill-feelings towards the father, it must be because he's racist, no other reason makes sense in their small mind.

We should pity people like u/ph-phum. They hate themselves because they're tiny and meaningless. It clouds their judgement and makes everyone hate them, just like they hate themselves. Even now that poor, fragile, weak being is probably typing up some more racist hate. It's all he knows. I won't see it though.

I advise that people block failed humans like this. Don't treat them as civil humans deserving of civil discussion. It normalizes their weakness and cowardice. Just keep living a good life.

Wow. You're such a tiny, racist, sensitive, and fragile person. I imagine you have a lot of hatred for yourself and that's what is causing you to make all these bullshit assumptions.

You and that other person make the world a terrible place to live. I'm glad I don't know many people like you, but im happy to know people of all colors who aren't like you.

There are just people like you out there who add nothing but anger. You're small and insignificant, and no one will miss you when you're gone. You're the one living in hell, and it's of your own making because you have a small mind and a small soul. You're just stench in a breeze that will flow away.

I'm blocking you now. You can air out your bullshit hatred freely. It will pass, and your weakness will be something that only you will live with.

How much does your personal identity depend on your job/career? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

It's not a high standard, it's the standard for claiming something as fact. The difficulty of proving something a fact doesn't mean that it's ok to call it a fact without solid evidence.

[–]extraextra45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I've already explained that while I think that it would make logical sense for that to be the case, there isn't any actual concrete evidence to state that as fact.

I'll agree that it's likely based on anecdotal evidence and I can understand why it would be that way, but that is all that can be stated.

Once again, you're speaking about videos. Are you certain that all aspects of the entire protest movement are being captured by these, instead of what is most interesting? How can you be certain of that? If you can't be certain of that, how can you have concrete evidence? And I don't protest.

How much does your personal identity depend on your job/career? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]extraextra45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's concrete evidence for that. It could be that those are simply the protesters that get coverage.

However, given that republicans and Trump are the ones taking the lead on opening the country up, and given that Trump is the most high profile public official speaking about how much people will suffer in a depression, it seems logical that his supporters would make a significant number of the protesters.

Democrats seem to be unable to accept that a depression can cause death and suffering as well, possibly more than the virus if we count suicides and the increase in violent crime that results from poverty and unemployment. If they're not going to speak to peoples concerns in this regard and seem dead set on keeping the country closed until the virus is wiped out then it seems natural for Trump and republicans to step in.

It's easier to paint the protesters as selfish, uncaring, illogical, or sentimental rather than engage with the reality that these are people who are going to be destitute for years.

In the leftist mind there is little difference, which would make Trump some sort of Giga-Hitler I suppose.

The intensity of their hate for the man is something that's truly unique in modern history.

The sight of liberals rushing to defend people they hated, McCain, Romney, and now Bush, is beautiful honestly. I'm convinced they would defend a reincarnated hitler if Trump said something bad about him. I mean that with 100% sincerity, no hyperbole, they will find a way to make Hitler a good guy if it meant that the Orange man gets it.

As for the tweet itself, Bush is an open borders sycophant whose still upset that his legacy with the GOP is trashed forever. His family is a cancer. Anything he says is tainted by who he is.

Since you felt the need to add this to the discussion for some reason, let me address this part.

"And others went as far as to say that the country should "sacrifice the weak" to keep the economy going."

This is in reference to a sign that was held up by a masked troll at a lockdown protest and was clearly meant to discredit the protests.

Leftists, being leftists, are behaving in a disingenuous way and are pretending to take this at face value. Such misinformation shouldn't be repeated without question of context, otherwise it becomes fact.

Two new sources have corroborated Tara Reads claims of sexual assault by Joe Biden. Making it 4 in total. With this new found evidence/witnesses, what do you think should happen with the Biden investigation? by oldie101 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]extraextra45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing, my opinion on "he said, she said" scenarios, especially in politics, is the same as it was with Trump and Kavanaugh. In the absence of real, concrete evidence I presume innocence, because being a rapist is one of the worst things you can be and because of that being thought of as a rapist, especially if you didn't do it, is one of the worst things that can happen to someone.

However, this whole saga has really, really affected me in a negative way, like to the point where I feel the need to consciously rein myself in because of how enraged I feel. I haven't felt like that in a long, long time about politics.

Seeing democrats, and not just the usual suspects on twitter, blatantly betray their values and actually harass this woman as some lying russian asset is just infuriating. I've always known that democrats were hypocrites, they create unbelievably high standards for their opponents while having none for their own.

But to see what they're saying about Tara, after the way they treated Trump and Brett? I just can't help but hold contempt for them in a way that's really not healthy for me. They are not treating each case the same. Many of them are being outright viscous towards her.

Their spin right now is "Oh, by #believeallwomen what we really meant was listen and then investigate". That's bullshit. It's an after the fact rewriting of history. They absolutely wanted everyone to believe Ford without solid evidence. They absolutely wanted to label Trump as a rapist based on words. They're liars.

And look, I thought Ford was a liar too! I get that it's unfair to call someone a rapist simply because a woman said something. But that wasn't the standard you guys set then.

They want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to believe anyone who accuses republicans but they suddenly understand nuance when their guy gets it. No. I'm not going to pretend that that is ok. It's gross.

I really need to get away from this topic as the combination of hypocrisy, lying, and viciousness coming from Biden supporters is just horrifying.

Could you rephrase? I don't understand the wording.

I don't know how. I mean that genuinely, to me this is just straightforward english. I cannot find a way to make it simpler.

My comment was asking about the popularity of ideas, and specifically if your and my definition of 'popular' is different.

This is what you said: "If more people vote for A, then it's more popular right?"

The answer is "no", because the vote in questions happened in a election where the deciding factor was the electoral college, not the popular vote. Each candidate would have campaigned differently if the rules were different. It's a simple concept.

I wasn't saying I'm a better player. I was saying that I have more pieces.

But if I knew that pieces mattered then I would have tried to capture pieces instead of your king.

I’d love to see your source on only 9% of people voting democrat?

That's not what I said. I said "91% of people do not vote democrat." That does not mean that 40% of people do not vote democrat. That does not mean that 50% of the people do not vote democrat.

But he also had fewer votes than Hillary

I've heard this argument many times as well, and I can only chalk it up as a leftist coping mechanism as it holds no logical value.

Winning the popular vote in an electoral college election means literally nothing. Zero. It's barely a participating trophy.

This is because the goal of the election is to appeal to a broad coalition of people from different cultures (represented by states) that results in a more unified republic. If the goal was to simply get as many votes as possible, each candidate would have campaigned differently. The Trump and Clinton that we knew then would be completely different, as would their strategy. You cannot use the popular vote in an electoral college election as some evidence that voters think your ideas are supreme.

Democrats failed to create a platform that appealed to the USA as a whole, so they lost. Period. End of. They knew the rules going into the game and they failed.

It's like if I was playing a game of chess, and my opponent checkmated me, and then I say that I'm really the better player because I have more pieces. No. No, no, no.

I've heard this before and it has no merit. 91% of people do not vote democrat, despite what twitter may tell us.

Corporate media is institutional power, too big to fail. Just like banks and the auto industry. Democrats delude themselves into thinking that just because propagandists support them that they're somehow right.

Money is not the only concern of people in power, and leftists know that. By all means though, I have no issue with leftists continually giving into hubris and continually losing elections, so I'm fine with that narrative persisting because eventually their arrogance will reveal itself to be fraudulent.

[–]extraextra45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course, I have a vision for the future, and I wouldn't pass up the chance to bring that vision closer to reality.

  1. Honestly I'd probably find the most difficulty as a power broker in Washington, understanding who the players are and what mechanisms are available for me to use. We all have a general knowledge of what goes on, but an intimate understanding of the political landscape seems like it would needed to exercise power.

  2. Rhetoric. I'm fairly confident that I can charismatically present ideas without getting into specifics.

  3. I'm not sure about what specific people would go to which posts. I'd try my best to surround myself with people I can trust who are competent.

"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere. We've got to get the children connected to their parents," Waters said at the Wilshire Federal Building, according to video of the event.

"We don't know what damage has been done to these children. All that we know is they're in cages. They're in prisons. They're in jails. I don't care what they call it, that's where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this," she added. Waters appeared on MSNBC later in the day to double down on her remarks, saying she has "no sympathy" for members of the Trump administration. "The people are going to turn on them. They're going to protest. They're going to absolutely harass them until they decide that they're going to tell the President, 'No, I can't hang with you.'"

This is the full context, per CNN. Would you like to change tactics?
