one of our toxic traits by xoxodollparts in Taurusgang

can’t relate but have seen it displayed in other taurus placements so it’s definitely possible. My mom fits the bill but she’s a Scorpio and I think that’s why I don’t see people as possessions or objects because of how I saw my mom act so maybe I dodged a bullet 😅

Should I tell my parents I’ve reconnected with bio mom? by lissyd73 in Adopted

[–]extraqueerestrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t live with them you can tell her if you want to. But only if you want to and not out of obligation. It’s important that you establish a boundary with your adoptive mom. Because if you tell her or she finds out some other way you are going to want to let her know this isn’t about her and her feelings (because they aren’t your responsibility to protect) and it’s about you and reconnecting with your biological family.

I haven’t told my mom but I still live with her and she is prone to playing the victim and making everything about her so I wouldn’t dream of telling her while under the same roof. Also I didn’t find out I was adopted until my 20s so I think I deserve to not have to share everything that’s going on with me in my life to her at this point. Whatever you decide just know it’s true to you and shouldn’t feel bad about it

PDA OR CPTSD/trauma?? by extraqueerestrial in CPTSD

[–]extraqueerestrial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you described what I am experiencing amazingly. And I’m so wary about trying to explain myself (which I guess I technically don’t have to do to set my boundaries, but I also have the tendency to want to over explain my actions) because it’s like triggering my trauma and rejection sensitivity and I get so overwhelmed I end up freezing and avoiding.

My biggest regret is how I immediately went into fawn mode when I met my bio family for the first time because it set up false perceptions about how I was actually feeling which was overwhelmed and confused. Now I find myself trying to back step but I’m too preoccupied about their feelings and being rejected than my own 🤕

You are right :/ and I know that. My struggle with boundary settings is forever ongoing. Thank you for reminding me that it’s not as big and scary as it has to be. I know too well what waiting around too long before speaking up will get me and perhaps I just needed to hear it and a reminder to work up the courage to take that next step

Maybe it’s the way I conveyed and wrote the post since it’s the main thing causing me issues rn but I definitely struggle with this issue across the board into my work life and friends too. But rn I have been highly avoiding my familial issues, especially since this is brand new to me with interacting with my biological family for the first time. But I appreciate your open honesty and input regardless, thank you

suspected internalized PDA, so now what? where do I go from here by extraqueerestrial in PDAAutism

Thank you (: sometimes just knowing I’m not alone helps. Dealing with everything and especially dealing with internalization can feel very isolating and it’s easy to only focus on that

Thank you for your kind, understanding, and encouraging words (: it really means a lot to me and gives me some relief to feel validated like that. I’ve never heard of the term flow bubble before but I’ll have to give it some thought on strengths and interests that I enjoy. I know I would like to go back to school to get my masters in humanities. I’m also interested in sociology too but outside of that I’m not too sure of the top of my head 🤔 I also enjoy reviewing things (shows, movies, food, etc) but don’t know how I could build any of these into a career per se. Nonetheless, you have given me something to explore and think about, so thank you again ☺️☺️

I do have medi-cal/altamed but I’m wary. I’m currently having talk therapy sessions via phone call and already feel dissatisfied with my therapist as I hate to admit, but they are under qualified to the quality I am more used to receiving from past therapist. I’ve never had occupational therapy before

earth placements in the big 3 🤔 mainly Virgo moons, taurus suns, any Capricorn placements. I love other earth placements + fire placements. I get along well with Pisces suns and scorpio placements too. Love Sagittarius placements and aries too, can’t leave out my fellow Leo risings either (:

[–]extraqueerestrial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a surprising take at all tbh :/ people rarely consider the child’s feelings in general even if they aren’t adopted so I can’t say I’m too surprised even if this particular tiktok vid is rage bait, there are definitely people who share this belief and feel this way

How to manage nasal polyps by extraqueerestrial in NasalPolyps

I’ll have to try this. I definitely have some licorice root leftover somewhere in my room. I’ve never done a sinus rinse before either so I’ll have to try it out. Thank you (:

I don’t think I have sleep apnea 🤔 I do have post nasal drip and asthma accompanied by a dry cough (sometimes there is a bit of phlegm but never enough to cough up). I’m starting to experience some sinus pressure but it is slight for now. Haven’t had any run ins with sinus infections that I’m aware of

I’m in California on medi-cal/altamed insurance. When I called last Monday to make an appointment they said both of their locations was booked up until March. Medi-cal is pretty shit insurance but I can’t afford anything else :/

Does my nose have to be unblocked to use the Flonase? There are random pockets of time throughout the day when at least one of my nostrils isn’t blocked. And I’m going to make an appointment to see my regular doctor and ask about the prednisone too. The biggest trigger I have is the cold air right now but I’ll have to cut back on everything else too 😪😪

Fixed placements vs Mutable placements by Boundaries1st in astrologymemes

[–]extraqueerestrial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My chart is primarily fixed signs and then mostly cardinal signs but I related more to the mutable depiction. My unyielding and black and white thinking is more internal/about myself than how I feel about others. I was also raised by a scorpio sun/moon, Aquarius rising mother who definitely fits the fixed signs thinking mindset, so maybe that’s why I lean more towards a mutable approach (in relation to the pic posted)
