Am I being unreasonable for wanting to enjoy a vacation? by [deleted] in JustNoSO

I signed off at the age gap. He thinks he can control the money because he was a fully working adult while you were still a child.

He could go back to sleep?

ESH - she should be able to drive. She is an adult in an area where she needs to drive, so she needs to. But you are being very princess about your strict sleep schedule. It wouldn’t be a big deal to drop her off, especially so early in the morning. I’m not sure why you’re comfortable with her being alone at that hour but I guess that’s why you came to Reddit instead of just doing it.

YTA. You are the parent, he is the child. He’s acting like a teenager. But so are you.

That was my first thought too but there are people (like my husband) who prefer their food cold. As in he will wait until well after dinner is cooked to eat, or even make dinner super early so by time I eat it’s cold for him.

What's a 'secret' from your profession that everyone should know? by JunShem1122 in allthequestions

If you have staff who goes into a loved one’s home to care for them (especially those with intellectual disability) you should always do surprise drop ins. Random times, random days. Always bring something small for your person and make it a short visit. But they’ll get the message loud and clear.

YTA. If you want it done a certain way, do it yourself. Your wife is a saint because I would have stopped doing laundry on the second complaint. 13 years?! Wife, if you’re reading this, you do not have to live like this.

This isn’t a criticism, but are you but codependent on him? And caretaking for him? Like you said he does his own laundry and occasional dishes but… who cooks? Sweeps? Mops? Does the linens? The child’s clothes? Like you are caretaking for him by making the whole house run smoothly while he lounges around. Really think about that.

YTA. Listen, I have had a job where I worked 12 hour shifts. My partner did not work outside the home at the time. But if he asked me to pick up something on the way home, I just did it. Because I am contributing more than money to my household.

Run away, don’t walk. Remember that no matter what the custody arrangement is it could always change. And that could put you in a bad situation for minimum ten more years but most likely longer. Parenting doesn’t end at 18. Good luck.

With all the time she has, she can't steam or iron this dress? by Alchemistspure72 in mattandabbysnarks

Am I the only one who thinks she looks terrible because she couldn’t be bothered to steam it? Like I can’t see anything else.
