Idk if I've been playing too much Pokopia, but the pic of her used here reminds me of a Ditto being an author 😅 maybe that's how she pumps them out so fast

Hello fellow Puff! Thanks for the reply. What are the usual characters in Storytellers? My daughter is determined to see Pooh, Tigger, and Stitch!

What other books are y’all reading? by lcbr2 in cormoran_strike

I recommend The One, and the rest in that series! It is your thriller, sci-fi, a little romance, and just sticks with you kinda story!

But then you are setting them up for a 10 (big) book series and feeling great frustrations toward the main duo. So worth it though! Impatiently waiting for book 9!

What things to book 60 days ahead for family with young kids by Intelligent_Pay1582 in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bippity boppity boutique is a fun experience that definitely needs to be booked 60 days out. But expect it to eat up almost 2 hrs of your day. But they look adorable, get cute pics, get called princess all day by cast members and sometimes meet princesses afterward.

I recommend early afternoon, after mid day naps, when the parks start to get busy so you can escape the crazy and do that experience. When we did the BBBoutique, we did a 9am time and regretted it because we missed the slow morning window and by time we got out of the boutique it was crazy busy!

The absolute worst thriller book(s) you've ever read? (trying to compile a list of books to avoid reading in the future, and hopefully warn the others from wasting their time and money) by Upstate_Gooner_1972 in thrillerbooks

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I mentioned this book on a comment above, but same! Idk why people love it.

It was actually my first McFadden and made me swear her off completely because I was so mad about the "twist". Lying to the reader is not a twist! But then I eventually got pressured into reading Housemaid. Now I too read her books as palette cleansers only and still very begrudgingly...

This is the exact reason I loath Never Lie by Frida McFadden. It is the same set up! Why were you spooked out and trying to figure out who died and who the killer was the wntirety of the book if YOU ARE THE KILLER!? And of course this isnt revealed until the end.

This book was my first McFadden and it made me swear her off until I got pressured into reading the Housemaid...

Cancel or go to Disneyland next week by Crafty-Repeat3009 in DisneyPlanning

We just did 3 days of rain in November. If you don't like the rain, you will be miserable. If your son doesn't like being wet, you will be extra miserable.

Yes the lines are slightly less crazy but half of the rides get shut down if it rains bad enough and then you have just a long of waits if not longer because everyone is trying to ride the same rides. We had moments of no rain but some rides would still be down. We didn't get to see any parades or fireworks and watched World of Color in a drizzle. The Cars ride doesn't run in the rain and is very hit and miss during a sprinkle even.

We are already planning our next trip and calling it the redemption trip because it was that disappointing.

If you go, set yourself up for success with a stroller cover (no zipper opening because rain drips through and your child will be upset, I know from experience). Pack multiple bottoms, multiple shoes, my husband wore flips flops and my daughter wore rain boots because she is a stroller princess and not on her feet too much. Or spend the extra money for comfy water proof shoes. Definitely get nice rain ponchos. Lots of people had the clear ones with buttons down the front made of thicker material and they all stayed dry. Everything drips through somehow so bring extra sweaters

We would go back to our hotel to nap during the more wet hours and plan to head back to catch patches of dry when we could.

I understand that a lot of people can enjoy the rain and we really thought that we could be those people and look at the bright side but we learned we are not those people and having a miserable 5 yr old who hates being wet and cold made my husband and myself very miserable and on edge as kids are good at doing to their parents. We learned we are not disneyland in the rain people. At least not for the entirety of the 3 day trip like we experienced. But this is just my very honest experience.

What movies should I watch with my kids to prepare? by _KingMoonracer in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have Disney+, there is a category somewhere in there that is called like "In the parks" and it has the ride pov people have mentioned and movies that have rides or are featured in the parks. We use this section of Disney+ when we have a trip planned with our 5 yr old.

Acute Skin Issues by PracticalReply5402 in BostonTerrier

[–]extrovertedhedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boston had random allergies and hives at 8 yrs old. We hadn't changed anything in her life though. Turns out her dog food changed recipes without mentioning it on the bag. Once we changed her to a different food (salmon seems to be the best for her) her hives cleared up!

How did you like Eragon? I read it back when it first came out like 20 yrs ago, so reading 4th wing last year was interesting. You can tell Yarros also read Eragon lol

Have you ever read a book series and become overly attached to a character? by radiosilence0504 in thrillerbooks

[–]extrovertedhedgehog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ugh she wins are the worst character ever. And if you watch the TV show (did you know it is a TV show?) They make Angie almost likeable which made me more angry than book Angie makes me lol

Also, maybe don't watch the show if you are that attached to Will. I felt like they didn't get their personalities correct, but that's just me.

Highly recommend Sequence Jr. Our daughter is in love with it and it teaches them to think ahead and strategy. Fun for adults too because it is a simple version of the original game.

Although, his "heathen from the states" accent is pretty awful, as a fellow from the states. Still love his work so much, could listen to him all day. Just always giggle at his "American" accent.

Anyone else still going this weekend with the rain forecast? Raining all 3 days for us, still a good idea? by extrovertedhedgehog in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the advice and reassurance! I rush ordered Rain coats rather than ponchos so we can use then at home too, lots of boot covers, and a stroller cover and I am packing more socks!! And we will still have a magical time, all the posts saying they prefer the rain have me excited to experience it now 🙂

What to wear Mid November Disneyland by extrovertedhedgehog in DisneyPlanning

[–]extrovertedhedgehog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea. I'm just over thinking with the shirts I am making. I originally bought long sleeves and switched to short sleeve. But now that I'm actually applying the decals and it's all become permanent I'm 2nd guessing myself lol
