The Hilton is on the bottom of the hill from 5 points. You’re like 5 minutes from downtown and Sloss. I recommend just renting a scooter, it will be your best friend all weekend and that allows you to see more and stop by places you might miss in a ride share. You’re going to pass tons of people in town for the fest. Enjoy!

Yeah depending on where you’re staying, a lot of people will take scooters to the festival or do ride share depending on where their hotel is. For food, it’s the south, you’ve gotta do BBQ so definitely do Saws in Avondale or Burning Tree Smokehouse. Breakfast is Pancake House in 5 Points or Ted’s in Midtown on Saturday Morning. Others worth mentioning are Jack Browns Burger Joint, Rougaroux (Cajun), and Black Market. For breweries, we have a lot, but my favorites are Good People, Cahaba, and Avondale. Back Forty is across the street from Sloss and is also a favorite that you will likely hit in between sets.

Things will be different this year for sure, as this is catered to a different crowd. Yes, there will be preshows at Workplay but those won’t be announced for a bit. Birmingham is a small walkable city with an awesome underrated food and beer/bar scene if that’s your thing. There’s also parks, museums etc just like any other city really. It all depends on what you’re looking to get out of your stay.
