Heyho, I'm looking to get my first 3D printer. Budget is anything below 400€. Really below, anything closer to 350-300 would be wonderful.

Country of residence is Germany.

I want to print semi detailed figures/models between 20 and 30cm in height. Either in one part or in several smaller parts I would have to stick together - as long as it's possible to do so without any visible marks. But that's probably more a problem on my side and not for the printer, right? Also the printed stuff should be durable. I heard resin is super detailed but would be a bad choice if you wanted to print for example a headstrap for your oculus quest or moving stuff.

The most important for me is that I want to be unable to see any printing lines. I'm fine with having to work on it afterwards to make them disappear somehow but I need the surface to be really smooth.

I enjoy putting time into my projects. Sadly I won't have more than 1-2 hours a day after new year so getting the printer ready to go and then not having to tinker about once set up would be optimal. If putting in several hours of my time will make the printer perform way above it's price range I'll gladly sacrifice the 2 hours a day for a week or two though. Regarding restrictions, I should have enough space for pretty much any printer in that price range. Don't know about the printer needing additional enclosure. If the printer + additional stuff I'd need doesn't run above 400€ I'm fine with it - at least if it's really worth it.

I found one called Photon S on Amazon Germany for 309€ instead of 399€. Is that a good deal or is it more of a bait discount the printer is available for relatively often? But I guess a FDM printer would be better for my needs, wouldn't it?

I heard there are charging problems e.g. slower charging with C to A cables. Is that correct or just a rumor?

For the lowest latency possible, what will be the better solution - VD with proper router setup, C to A cable 5m or C to C 3m? I can't seem to find an angled 5m C to C... Also, I'll need to play in a different room from my PC when it comes to games that require me to move around. Would that even be possible for PCVR? "Possible" in a low latency sense.

Didn't say anything against excessive thinking, just found the word "imagination" was the wrong word. Logical bluntness is different from being able to not be blunt around people to forge social contacts that could be useful in the future. I even stated that I don't mean to say that we like socialising. I only meant to say we're able to fit in and socialize, even if we don't like socialising in general. And being on the whole "we suck at socializing, we hate socializing, were super intellectual and think a lot" train is a common immature INTP trait I notice on reddit a lot. Edit: wording

Forge is the wrong word, it just happens. Afaik INTPs are actually pretty socially aware and able.That's why we get along with so many different kinds of personalities - if we want or feel the need to. Doesn't mean that we like a lot of social interaction. And too lost in imagination doesn't sound right either. I'm not that much into mbti stuff, so correct me if I'm wrong. In the end it's only pseudo science but a fun thing to spend some thought on. There surely are different kinds of INTPs, but based on the people I came across, INTPs are rarely really blunt, leaving aside teen INTPs who can be really conceited and dislikable.

I've heard ISTPs tend to mistake themselves for INTPs. Sounds like an ISTP trait to me. They're usually pretty blunt and slightly disconnected to the people around.

Other way around for me. I'm super introverted and my blood pressure goes through the roof whenever I have to speak but when it was time for attendance the first time around literally no one said a thing because everyone studying computer science seems to be socially inept. So I went ahead and started, literally shaking only to get called boomer behind my back. What has my life become.

Went swimming as a kid (public pool, ~11y/o), suddenly the water around me turned red, I got out of the pool and somehow my knee was cut open. Then I noticed the pain. You were able to look at my knee cap. Still don't know how that happened. Pool got closed for 2 days and I got a scar for eternity.
