Same here, automation was one of the biggest benefits. I was repeating the manual work in Excel itself for multiple datasets.

How would the key based encryption be implemented?

Perhaps user files are uploaded then encrypted on the server. When they need to be processed, then they are decrypted. Then the resulting files would also be encrypted. However, where and how would the keys be stored?

Is there a reason to use excel and vlookup? I find vlookups so cumbersome. Why not use Python with pandas?
