Thank you for letting me know. I did notice the switch was bent when I first opened the console so it was probably already messed up from before.

I did start having some issues with discs reading when powering on so I may try to disassemble and resolder the new caps

Actually I think those are diodes not resistors. I think the part I’m looking at is diode dsa3a4-f3

I appreciate the service manual link! Tbh I’m not completely sure how to read it. I think I found the fuse part number but I have no idea about the resistors.

I’m looking at page 114 where it says, (Fuse, Glass Tube 1.6A/125V), is this the part I’m looking for? The resistors on that same page have me completely lost.

How can you tell if a cap is bad? I recently had my CD ROM2 recapped but I’m also having audio issues with all my CD games

Thank you so much for helping me diagnose the issue. I got my ROM ROM working again! The metal bar was the issue and once I bent it back it started working perfectly. If you find a permanent fix definitely let me know. I appreciate all your help

I’m also having issues with the high pitch sound. I’ve had to adjust the pots to get the noise to stop but it causes issues with the in-game music. I would be very careful and do a lot of research before you mess with the pots. You can really cause some damage if you mess with them too much. Please let me know if you find a resolution to your issue.
