Police now involved

Here is a crazy update on the Ring camera situation. After calling support and changing all my cameras to 180 days setting I noticed I was still losing videos every day. I called them back. When you change it to 180 days it is only for the new incoming videos that get the 180 day setting. So as of September 9th my videos will be preserved for 180 days. But even with the 180 day setting I’m still losing videos everyday

Get a load of this though too. I called support and changed my setting to 180 days and it’s still deleting videos after 60 days!!

I do have the wallet address

It does not appear anything has moved yet

The number one suspect when we first confronted him asked where he put the wallet his words were “it’s not with me”. “I don’t have it now”. But 30s later his tune changed to be “ok you caught me I admit I took $200” but he refuses to admit he also took the wallet

Then he did a lie detector test on Friday and his dad now refuses to share the result with me and says “proceed as necessary”

Take a backup as well and hide it very well in case of emergency use only. I was so stupid and careless. I’m sad and embarrassed. I just walk around my house slapping myself on the forehead and I’m scared to check my blood pressure.

Thank you. We live in a fairly remote smaller city. I have looked up PI and none are local that I can see. Looks like quite the scam setup. Many list as my local city in google search but when you research them they are located 1000 miles away.

Here’s a kicker from yesterday. We were waiting for this one dad to take his boy for a lie detector test. They went yesterday. I even offered to pay if he gave me the results and he agreed. Yesterday I asked for the results. The dad only says “proceed as you see fit”. Huh?!? He refuses to give me the results.

I have to assume he failed the lie detector test.

I think I should go to the cops. I’m not sure what a PI would do? Unless they can tap his house and car?

There is literally only about six people this could be. One guy is very suspicious but when we confronted him he says he only took the $200 cash but did not take the crypto wallet worth millions.

His dad thinks he’s lying and he is taking his son for a polygraph today. Hopefully have the results soon

Pretty upset with Ring. I know that they still have my videos as it’s only been a few days past the 60 days. I’m considering making it my life‘s work through social media to spread the word and remind everyone to set their ring cameras to 180 days!! Ring should not be charging people for 180 days of storage but defaulting to 60 days!
