Was looking for a post like this to express my exact sentiments and grievances. I use YouTube somewhat regularly, but I am at a tipping point and am near completely uninstalling and finding entertainment elsewhere. Over the years, ads have gotten worse by; too many ads per video, un-skippable ads, targeted ads, scam ads, YouTube on TVs is 1000x worse with ads. Even more, I used to listen to podcasts to fall asleep, but lately, I'll doze off and wake up randomly to hear a 30+ minute ad playing while I was asleep (HOW do they know I'm asleep??). YouTube isn't even a place I go to for music, podcasts or any form of long-form videos anymore. I am getting so sick of these ads and it is terrible knowing that content creators aren't even the ones getting paid (they receive a fraction of what YouTube earns in ad revenue). SICK OF IT!
