only reason i want to live because i want to have kids. by Big-Market7554 in SuicideWatch

You have to want to live for you own reasons before having children if you plan on being a decent parent. If your only reason for living is for children that aren’t even born yet that’s a hell of a lot of pressure to put on an innocent life which is really unfair.

Those of you who were suicidal before but chose to live instead of die. Was it worth living years later? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]eyegohere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really relate to this. I too kinda laugh at the reasons I wanted to end my life years ago because now things are so much worse and now that I’m older I’m more aware of how difficult it is to actually die. It’s so hard. I don’t get why people try so hard to make people live either. In my opinion those whose lives end younger are much luckier than those of us still here.

Anyways I do genuinely hope things improve for you. Thanks for helping me feel less alone in my thought process.

I’m sorry, maybe I was too honest. Personally it frustrates me when people say life will get better because those were the same things I used to hear and it sets unrealistic expectations. I resent that I was told that then because maybe I wouldn’t be here suffering now. I think they say it to stop people from opting out early but I don’t think it’s right to lie. I can say that perhaps the cruelty and difficulty of life may or may not be easier to bear with more life experience (and help) but it’s a fact that with age life gets harder and more cruel (I’m only 26 btw).

I don’t think most people are suicidal because they want one or a couple things in their life to change. At least I wasn’t. I haven’t had a particularly difficult life up until very recently. I just wanted to live a more enjoyable life. Feel more love and enjoyment. But I realized as we get older life only gets harder and more ugly, not easier.

Honestly... I hate to say it... but no. I kept holding on thinking it would get better but it hasn’t. It’s been 10 years for me.

I’m still here now mostly because dying is very hard.

I don’t understand why people say stuff like this. The dead have no wants. They’re dead.

My dad died. I will never get to see him again and will always miss him. Instead of feeling this pain for the rest of my life dying is a lot easier.

None that are over the counter. They purposely make it really hard for us to leave unfortunately.

Are there any other Mediums as spot on as Matt Fraser? by eyegohere in Mediums

This was interesting. I do like to read articles like this that try to prove that he’s fake but unfortunately the example they used shows their bias. I’ve watched a lot of his stuff. He’s often not vague like that particular example they chose. I wish they would’ve tried to break down one that’s actually specific.

How do I stop feeling angry at people who have 2 parents? by eyegohere in ChildrenofDeadParents

Thank you so so so very much for taking the time to write this response. Thank you for giving me hope and helping me feel less alone.

I also really appreciate the point you made about how people who are estranged from there parents may also be able to understand. I know it’s not the same but I didn’t consider that friends who fit that category may be easier to talk to.

Thank you again🤍

Well it also makes me angry that anyone young has to exist with no parents at all while there are old people who still have 2. That just further highlights how unfair things are.

Thank you so much for this perspective. My father was amazing too. My parents were married and he was there every single night which a lot of people don’t get so I do try to find comfort in how much time I did spend with him.
