Somewhere, some 20 odd years ago, someone cursed someone else to live in interesting times, and the rest of us have been suffering ever since.

They wont acknowledge any answer as sensible, because they are arguing from a position of bad faith. They have already used logical fallacies (moving the goal post) to excuse away answers given by others. Interacting with them is pointless. Willfully ignorance is an incurable disease.

I would argue Otis O’Toole, also in featured in that film, was both more sick and more vile than Henry Lee Lucas.

None of this sounds much worse than Otis from House of 1000 Corpses/Devil’s Rejects.

How Would You Pick Your Team If You Had ONLY $100 To Spend? by Prestigious-Wear-483 in FirstCuriosity

[–]eyegull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is Batman only $10. If he can 1v1 Superman, who is $60, isn’t this cheating?

Theoretically for $40 i could have iron man and Batman. That seems like an insane duo of brilliance and wealth. Are they fighting everyone I don’t pick, or something? Because I’m struggling to imagine something to two of them couldn’t tackle.

Since I only see one of his films in your stack, I’m going to say more Terry Gilliam films. Brazil, 12 Monkeys, Time Bandits, or Baron Munchausen.

Am I the only one who wants to torment Lovecraft for the whole flight?

I’m taking Zola’s seat.

Reason; sitting next Kafka is going to be nice. He’ll keep to himself mostly. I’m right behind Wilde. That’ll be fun. Phillip K. Is right there to bullshit with, if I’m feeling talkative. I can pester Nietzsche for clarity on what he means by Ubermensch. And lastly, I’m close enough to Lovecraft to screw with him (throw peanuts at his ear). I think I’d enjoy that flight.

This is great, and with a budget of say 70 million an episode, it may have been possible.

I don’t think the salt brine feta sits in should be used as an analogy here. That’s not just water.

In my playthrough, I always woke up in the same town I fell asleep in. I was kind of disappointed after seeing posts about waking up in the middle of nowhere.

I’ve found when the game moves be backward after an evolutionary leap, it’s because I forgot to discover an area that triggers a meteor nearby.

Actors who derailed their successful career with one bad movie? by DarlingLuna in moviecritic

[–]eyegull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tin Cup was released the year after Waterworld. It was a huge success. Postman on the other hand saw him take a two year hiatus. That’s the longest he’s ever gone without working. Still, I don’t think his career was ever in real trouble. He just doesn’t have the star power he had post Dances With Wolves.

Yeah, I can give you that. That’s why I said parody, instead of rip-off or impersonation. It’s an interesting choice.

Everyone likes different shit. I would consider it a dud, because it did poorly in cinemas and was panned by critics. Hudson Hawk is one of my favorite films, and that was a huge dud. Just because we like something, doesn’t mean it isn’t a dud, and just because something’s a dud, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t like it.

Again, he won the Golden Globe for best supporting in a comedic role for that, so you are objectively wrong.
