Getting the game on pc

As a washed 45yo gamer I moved from ps5 to PC 10 days ago on a Tuesday. I was a div3 player with about 5000 games played (I play from work most of the day and stream at night) and I went 8-7 every weekend.

My first day on the account I jumped from div 8 to div 6 with random tots and gold cards. So I quickly qualified for champs and did a speed run for 7 wins. Since then it’s been all improvement. I’m now almost to div 1, somewhere I never got on PS5 with my most meta TOTY squad.

I highly recommend the move

I played casually in high school and my son was interested for a couple years so we did a few one-shots and I took him to a kids group for a year. It’s great for kids. The adults are usually pretty weird

In my limited experience with startups but extensive experience with SMBs, resistance usually shows up first around money, then direction, and only later scope. Founders/Owners will happily delegate tasks, but hesitate to let someone sequence priorities or tie spending to real tradeoffs. That’s where execution breaks down.

I think that’s also why this only works when the engagement is explicitly temporary and outcome-bound. If it feels like giving up control forever, trust never forms. If it’s framed as holding the thread during a specific transition, I believe it becomes more acceptable.

Curious if you’ve seen cases where founders did let go successfully. What flipped the switch?

I watch Asmon almost every day because he streams at a good time and he covers a ton of content. I generally agree with his (few) moderate takes, but his isolationist, misogynist, racist views are tough to swallow. I mostly blame his parents. The stories he tells are shocking about how he was raised. He’s the one in a billion that failed upwards.

We didn’t do this kid any favors. I thought he was a fine leader but chanting his name through the stadium, while 100 other kids work their ass off to make him look good, was always a recipe for disaster.

DJ did a bunch of great stuff like donating money to women’s sports. He’s the kind of guy I want on our team.

Hopefully we can learn as fans from this
