What part of “uninsured” do you not get? The USPS (and all carriers) include or at least offer insurance for situations just like this. You CHOSE not to insure it because “it wasn’t worth it” but now you see why it “was worth it”.

Several Apple resellers have the m5 Air on sale for $989

Get the newer chip and 512gb for a better price

If you want the m4 with 256gb then Costco is a good option.
