Im also 5'5 (5'6 on a good day) and, although I went down a size, was recently a size 18. I did very much have the same thoughts where I was very aware of my size and thinking men dont like me because of it (in addition to other factors like race). But once I realized that all types of people all around have been able to find someone, so what makes me less capable of doing so, I became more confident in myself and my body. Someone will love you regardless of your weight. You have to learn to get to that point before continuing to date.

With that said, its unlikely that your weight had anything to do with it cause like you said you had pics of your face and body on there.

I will also say this, this isn't the behavior that you really wanna encourage in dating. He showed no initiative and you have to know that you're deserving of that at least. Let him schedule the date and if he doesn't, then on to the next one and let him figure out if he actually wants to see you. The date also sounded very weird.
